SECOND STEP is a training programme that leads to an ICT Diploma in Information Technology, Information Systems or Computing and Information Systems. This training programme 85% financed by the European Union through the European Social Fund and 15% financed by National Funds. The programme falls under “Operational Programme II – Empowering People for More Jobs and a Better Quality of Life” and is based on “Priority Axis II - Investing in the Employability and Adaptability in the Workforce”. More specifically the Second Step aims at investing in human capital within the context of a flourishing local ICT industry that is increasingly recognised as a major component in Malta’s economic development.
