There are many reasons to take a course during the summer . You may need to make up a course you took previously, or you may just want to get a jump on next year so you have more t ime to take elect ives or col lege prep.

Al l students should commit to a schedule.

T u i t i o n f o r t h e S u m m e r S c h o o l p r o g r a m i s :

Step Up fol lows the standard high school curr iculum as def ined by the Olathe and Blue Val ley

School Distr ic t , and uses computer-based instruct ion and support f rom cert i f ied teachers.

$200 .00 per 1/2 ( .5) credit class.

EnrollmentStudents may sign up for a maximum of one class (1/2 credit)Students are advised to attend one 3-hour block per day, four days per week

until class work is completed. There will be no scheduled summer school

classes on Friday Grades will be mailed to parents and the

student’s high school upon completion of the course.

Students enrolled in Step Up Summer School agree to abide by the Step Up

Internet Acceptable Use Policy.

Possession or use of tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or weapons will not be tolerated.

Classes at Step Up are proficiency-based, self-paced, and computer-assisted.

Certified teaching staff are on hand to assist learners.

Because of the learning-lab setting, students are expected to respect others

and contribute to a productive learning environment. Step Up reserves the

right to permanently dismiss disruptive students.

Enrollment forms must be signed by the student, a legal guardian, and a

school representative (guidance counselor or principal). Payment must be

made in full. Checks should be made out to SEKESC. All fees are

nonrefundable after orientation.

Summer enrollment will be accepted during the Spring 2011 semester. Summer enrollment will also take place on June 1 and 2 Limitedlate enrollment will be accepted, due to the shortened summer session. The summer session begins June 1st and ends June 29th. All work must be completed and handed in by June 29th.
