CAISSONS

Experience & Innovation in Pipeline Connection Technology from Surface to Seabed

On offshore production platforms, Seawater Lift Caissons are essential to draw in seawater for use in cooling systems, well re-injections , and firewater.

Drain Caissons create a drain system for the platform for both hazardous and nonhazardous fluids, as well as open and closed drain systems.

Caissons can suffer severe corrosion damage over the years, which can cause holes through the caisson, leading to inefficiency of the systems and potential failure. Crevice corrosion is also a known problem which can cause the caisson to fail. GMC provides a complete caisson replacement service with our mechanical box & pin connector. Fabrication of the connectors to caisson sections onshore removes the need for welding offshore.

Caisson sections are made up together offshore using GMC’s Make/Break tooling and provide a safe, efficient, time, and cost saving installation service.
