WORDS FROM OUR PASTORMy Loved Ones,

Yesterday, we launched our program-matic year, with our Leadership Prayer Breakfast. As we continue with our Season of Renewal, today we acknowledge and celebrate the Christian Education Min-istry. We celebrate their tireless work and commitm,ent to pedagogy that nurtures the spiritual development of our entire congregation. During our 11:30am service we will consecrate our Church School faculty and administrators,

as well as the servant leaders of our church. This week, we begin our activities with our Week in The Word. I am asking each of you to take time every day to pray and read your bible. You may be guided by the daily scriptures listed in the bulletin for your daily devotions. Lastly, I encourage each of you to join us for our Week in The Word Bible Study Series.

Next week is our Week in Prayer. We will gather in homes, on the phone and at the church, as our church family will come together to solicit God’s continued participation in the life of our ministry and our individual lives. The Week in Prayer schedule of activities is listed in the bulletin.

We culminate our Season of Renewal with our Week in The Spirit beginning Sunday, October 1 – Wednesday October 4. Our Revival Preachers will be Rev. Eddie Spencer and Dr. Marcus D. Cosby. Our Revival Offering this year is $40.00. There will be a special Revival envelope in the bulletin next week. Your offerings and gifts facilitate the Lord’s work, to the glory of God.

As we prepare to enter the next phase of our construction in October, I am encouraging those of you who are on board to stay the course. For those who have not made a commitment during the week of prayer, I ask that you petition God to guide your decision to enable you be a part of this great work to His Glory.
