DriveThe pump is designed to be connected toan electrical motor by a flexible shaftcoupling.

Max speed limitThe maximum speed is 3600 rpm. Forhigher speeds contact IMO AB.

RotationThe ACE pump is designed to operate inone rotational direction only, as standardclockwise when facing the shaft end.

Pumps for CCW operation can bedelivered on special request. For shorterperiods of time, a few minutes for emptying adischarge line, the pump may be operated inreverse direction, provided the backpressure is limited to 3 bar.

Discharge pressureMaximum discharge pressure is 16 bar.

Differential pressureMaximum differential pressure is 16 bar but is reduced at low viscosities as shown in thetable below.

Pressure relief valveThe pump is equipped with an integralpressure relief valve with internal return,limiting the differential pressure across thepump and protecting the pump, should thedischarge line be blocked. The valve isadjustable for different opening pressures.The value of the pressure limit can be set atthe factory and should be adjusted at in-stallation (see Installation & Startupinstruction for low-pressure pumps).

The maximum pressure ackumulationvaries with pump size, speed and viscosity,but will normally not exceed 4 bar. Thecharacteristic of the valve allows the valveto be used as pressure regulating valvewhen not too high demands on pressuremodulation are required. The valve has amaximum set pressure of 16 bar.

The ACE pumps are used for a number ofdifferent fluids:Lubrication oil, fuel oil, vegetable oil,hydraulic oil and other hydraulic fluids,glycol, polymers, emulsions, and any non-aggressive fluid with sufficient lubricatingproperties.When so required the ACE pump may becertified according to any of followingclassification societies: DnV, BV, LRS, ABS,RS, GL, RINA, KR, NK or CCS.

Typical applications are:• Lubrication of diesel engines, gears,

gas and steam turbines, hydro turbinesand paper machines.

• Circulation for cooling and filtration inlarge machineries, hydraulic systems andtransformer oil for insulation in trans-formers.

• Transfer onboard ships, in oil factories,refineries, tank farms etc.

• Fuel supply duties for diesel engines.

The ACE-pump is designed to be flange-mounted to an electric motor via aconnecting frame and a flexible shaftcoupling and has an angle bracket formounting horizontally and vertically, seemounting instructions. Two pump units canalso be mounted to a double assembly on acommon frame with inlet and outlet pipeconnections. The double assembly savesspace and facilitates installation,maintenance, service and supervision. SeeProduct description for T4.

The pump unit, pump with connectingframe and motor, is designed to work in anair temperature between +2 °C and +40 °C.This with a maximum humidity of 80 %.For other environmental conditions,please contact IMO AB. The pump body,however, can be heated to maximumfluid temperature.
