A lug/boltsecures the incoming cableand the screw clamp design ofthe block provides theoutgoing connections. Theseprovide easy connect pointsand ensure perfect continuityfor distribution. A protectiveshield effectively shrouds theincoming connection.

Application Information:Sum of outgoing currents oneither side of center shouldnot exceed half the maximumpermissible incoming current.

CGT4UGROUND35 and 32mm DIN RailUse ground blocks instead ofgrounding studs and wire lugs toterminate ground wires, savinginstallation and wiring time.

Ground blocks clamp mechanicallyonto the DIN Rail by tightening thecenter mounting screw, making areliable electrical connection betweenthe cage clamp terminals and the DINRail. The rail serves as a busbar andautomatically distributes groundpotential to all other ground terminalson the same rail.

Ground blocks can also be used as end stops, preventing otherterminal blocks and components frommoving laterally on the DIN Rail.

They are supplied with a standardgreen/yellow housing for easyidentification and accept standardmarking tags.

CGT4U, CGT10U and CGT35U can bemounted on both DIN 32mm and DIN35mm rails.

CGT4N & CGT6N can be mounted on35mm DIN rail and have the same topouter profile as the feed throughblocks (CTS4U-N, CTS2.5U-N, CTS6U,CTS10U).

CGMT4 can be mounted on 15mmDIN rails and has the same top outerprofile as the CMT4 feed throughblocks.

DISCONNECT35 or 32mm DIN RailDisconnect and test terminals arean ideal choice for measuringcontrol and regulatory circuits. Theterminals provide a clear functionaladvantage for devices havingutility instruments and associatedtransformers.

Five versions of disconnect andtest terminals are available:

• CDTTU - disconnection is achieved by means of a slide link operated with a screw driver.

• CDTTU-SH - disconnect and testterminals are ideal for use in current transformer applications when it is mandatory to keep the secondary side shorted at any point while taking current measurements.

• CKT4U - disconnection is achieved by lifting the knife contact lever.

• CSDL4U - hinged diconnectionand testing terminal, incorporates a connecting link in place of the fuse link.

• CSDL6U - hinged disconnect block for 8 AWG size wires.

• DDDL4U - double level disconnect terminal with hingeddisconnect in upper level.

Specially designed socket headscrews act as test/monitoringpoints in both CDTTU, CDTTU-SHand CKT4U.

Important: The disconnectingdevice is not suitable forinterrupting load. The supply mustbe switched off before operatingthe slide link/lever.

CSFL4U CSFL4U(L)*FUSE BLOCKSCertain electrical and controlsystems require protection byfuses. CSFL4U and CSFL6Uhave a specially designed spacefor cartridge type glass fuseand accept Ø5 x 20 or Ø5 x 25mm fuses. CAFL4U acceptsØ1/4 x 1-1/4 in. fuses. The fusecan be engaged or disengagedby the movement of the carrier.

Altech fuse terminals are alsoavailable with light indication -CSFL4U(L). A specially designedbuilt-in circuit gives lightindication in the event of fuseblow out. Thus, fault in a circuitcan be easily located.

However, an application of suchterminals must take intoconsideration residual currentflow.

DDFL4U - Double Level FuseTerminal with fuse link on thetop level has a separate feedthrough terminal at the lowerlevel. This eliminates use of anadditional feed throughterminal.

In DDFL4U(E), speciallydesigned built in circuit giveslight indication in the event of afuse blow out at the top level.The terminal provides separatefeed through connectionpossibility at the lower level.

DDFL4U(LR): This is a modifiedversion of DDFL4U(E) terminalwhere in two equipotentialconnection points are availableon both ends of the terminal.

CAFL4U(L) is equipped with aLED for blown fuse indication.CAFL4U(N) is equipped with aneon bulb for same application.

CB1038 accepts Ø10 x 38mmfuse.

TERMINAL BLOCKSCTC4U Tab Connectionterminals offer quickconnection. Connection isachieved by pushing thelug onto the tab blade ofthe terminal block. Theterminal housing is sodesigned that the wallprotrudes beyond the tabblades.

The CTS4U-TM single leveland the CDL4U-TM doublelevel terminal blocks have aprovision for clipconnection according toDIN 41611-4. Three wires(0.5 sq. mm) can beconnected with a clip ontothe pin using a special tool(contact Altech forinformation).These terminalblocks provide high wiringdensity without extensionof the mounting rail.

CTC4U is used primarily inrailway systems. TheCTS4U-TM and the CDL4U-TM is used mostly in thetelecommunicationsindustry.
