Important safety facts you should know. Why it is so important that a schoolbag is equipped with fluorescent and retro-reflective areas.

Essential: fluorescent fabric during the day and at dawn! The fluorescent fabric in an eye-catching colour is essential to keep the child safe during the day.

Also important: Glow effect in the dark! The retro-reflective areas work by reflecting incident light (e.g. headlights).

To achieve ideal safety the schoolbag should be provided with both types of safety fabric. The German Safety Standard DIN 58124 specifies the surface area of both materials exactly: 10% have to be retro-reflective, 20% fluorescent!

Uncompromisingly safe! All Scout schoolbags with yellow or orange-red fluorescent areas fully comply with the German Safety Standard DIN 58124. Scout schoolbags with fluorescent areas in other colours (e. g. pink) also optimise the visibilty of children in traffic; these colours, how-ever, are not specified in the current German Safety Standard DIN 58124. The perfect fit in 5 easy steps. 1. Open the strap-system. • Open the zip on the back of the schoolbag. • Unblock the adjustment button by turning it to the left (e.g.

with a coin).2. Try the schoolbag on. • Loosen all straps. • Put the schoolbag on the child’s back.3. Adjust the straps. • Adjust the hip belt (positioning on the hips) and fix it. • Draw the shoulder straps – attention: the main weight should

be on the hips! With the help of the additional straps, make any further minor adjustments.

• Close the chest belt.4. Adjust the back support system. • The upper part of the bag should be at shoulder level. Guidance: S = for small kids with shorter torso, M = for medium-sized kids, L or L/XL = for larger-sized kids. 5. Fix the strap system. • Take off the schoolbag. • Close the adjustment button mechanism by turning it to the

right. • Pull down the zip in order to close the back padding.

Easy adjustment. The innovative, adjustable back strap system with integrated chest belt provides support and relief by shifting the weight to the hips. Ideal Position: Shoulder straps at the same height as the shoulder blades, the base at the same height as the hip bones.
