“Sans Souci” Scope:1483 SF interior; 590 SF outdoor areas

Notable: Featured in 2009 Design Trade magazine; Cover photo and featured in 2009 Circumnavigator and 2009 Passagemaker magazines. The owner/ client wanted the look of a traditional period boat- a boat from perhaps 80 years ago. The Designer created this style by designing painted wood-plank ceilings with wood beams, traditional style teak wood joinerwork (cabinetry) and wainscoting with wall-covering above, and specifying romantic sconces and lamps with beautiful hand-made silk lampshades. The joinerwork wood mouldings shapes were custom designed to an appropriately smaller scale as well. The interior materials and colors were drawn from the owner’s antique Kashan area rug, which she said early in the design process that she wanted to use in the Saloon- so the Saloon arrangement plan was designed to make sure this rug fi t. Other features that culminate to create this classic yacht interior design are custom designed leaded glass cabinet doors, carved glass back-lit sinks in the Heads and matching sand-blasted design in the frameless glass shower doors. Marble countertops and accent tiles in Heads and showers, and granite galley countertops with ceramic and metal backsplash tiles. The plasma TV in the Master Stateroom is concealed behind framed art that opens by remote control.

“Meander” Scope: 1930 SF interior and outdoor areas

Notable: 2005 NW Design Award and 2005 ISS Design Awards Finalist

The clients wanted a warm, comfortable interior inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, and perhaps reminiscent of the great rustic lodges of the American west. A custom designed and crafted walnut dining table was antiqued and distressed to match the Guy Chaddock upholstered dining chairs and cocktail table.

The slate-topped china cabinet has custom designed leaded glass doors that compliment the cocktail table top, and has accent lighting within to showcase the crystal glasses. The cabinet also cleverly conceals the stairway headroom pocket.

Notable: 2007 NW Design Award

The client commissioned the designer to create a contemporary interior design for his family, with an emphasis on safety and comfort. The Designer improved the architect’s original interior arrangement layout in numerous areas, including the living/ dining areas which

were designed to optimize the conversation grouping, including a custom size sectional sofa and built-in leather upholstered dinette. The custom designed audio video cabinet houses two racks of A.V. equipment and a 42” plasma TV on a motorized lift.

“Julianne” Scope: 1930SF interior and outdoor areas

Notable: 2007 Showboats International Magazine Award and 2009 NW Design Award

The client requested a warm, cozy traditional style interior where family and guests could relax. This was achieved by a culmination of appropriately scaled loose furniture and tables set against a makore wood paneled interior architecture with makore box beam overheads. The client wanted a soft, warm ambiance, so the designer suggested English library lamps with hand-made silk

shades with complimenting color trims, combined with thoughtfully laid out overhead and art lighting. Other understated, rich details are found throughout, such as custom designed hand carved wood star and scroll onlays, a back-lit onyx sink, and custom designed beveled leaded glass pantry and cabinet doors with accent lighting
