Leeds Minster Educational Visits

Leeds Minster is a great educational resource. The education programme is being developed to bring learning to life using the Minster as an inspirational resource, to develop and provide curriculum linked trails, tours and workshops for children and young people that are exciting and engaging – full of opportunities for first-hand discovery.

What’s on offer? We can offer a range of activities to enhance and supplement your teaching across the curriculum, especially RE – Christianity, Places of Worship, Symbolism, Beliefs and Practices, Festivals, Crosses from around the World History – Life in Victorian Times, WW 1 memorials – some work done in partnership with Leeds Museums and Galleries, Local area – looking at changes in Leeds Art – Stained Glass Windows, Mosaics Maths and Science – Symmetry, Pattern, Measurement, Materials Personal, Social, Cultural and Spiritual Development – opportunities for discussion, debate and reflection Please get in touch to discuss how we can bring the new national curriculum requirements to life with a planned visit tailored to your schools' individual need.

Themed Workshops

During Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, Pentecost and Harvest, workshops can help pupils to explore the meanings of

these seasons of the Church Year using dance, drama, music and art
