School Council Meeting Minutes 12/3/14 Members Present: John Wiggins, Donna Ertzberger, Lisa Jarrard, Beth Swenson, Marissa Payne, Brian Ivey, Tracy Giles Presenters: Lynette Scheman & Allison Read GAPSS Visit in on 12/10/14- The visiting team will be at Lanier on Wednesday & will be compiling ratings on 12/11/14 CCRPI- new state accountability process. We will get scores for 2013-2014 in February -Parents, staff members, and older elementary students take surveys that calculate our Climate star rating. -They survey information has been sent home in the school newsletter. Please encourage all Lanier families to take the survey. ASSIST Site -Hall County will have a SACS visit in February -The ASSIST site is a website that we use to upload all our documentation for accreditation. -Mrs. Scheman reviewed the Self-Assessment results, executive summary & stakeholder survey results Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) -4 th & 5 th grade students can currently bring their own device to school -There will be a pilot class in the lower grade levels. If this pilot goes well, then next year ALL students will be able to bring their own devices. -The BYOD policy can be found on the Lanier webpage Parent Communication -Lanier utilizes several forms of communication.
