    1. The students will learnwhat 3 different types ofeffects are.

    2. The students will learn ariff and perform to abacking trackimplementing 1 of 3types of effects.

    to a backing trackand implement atleast one pedal intheir performance

    Formative There were some variedabilities within this group

    however I was able to focus

    on those who needed more

    help whilst still

    concentrating on those who

    needed less. Whilst the more

    advance students played to

    the backing track that Iprepared I was able to

    involve the lower levelled

    students practically in

    altering the guitar signal of

    the move advanced student. I

    then allow them to swap

    roles. Whilst the advance

    student adjusted the effects

    pedals I worked closely with

    the low levelled student so

    that they could receive help

    with their instrument.

    1.The students will learn theminor pentatonic scale2. The students are toimprovise a basic solo to abacking track and implement 1of 3 types of effects.

    1. The students will havelearnt the minor pentatonicscale2. The student will be ableto play a basic solo withthe use of at least 1 of 3effects pedals

    Formative The different levels ofabilities in the class meantthat some were very quickto pick up the scale. I setthese students the task ofplaying to the backingtrack giving the two lowlevelled students moretime to get the scaledown. All the studentsused a multiple pedals,particularly the choruspedal and created basicsolos appropriate to the

    Formative With slightencouragement frommyself the students wereable to answer withreasonable confidence asto how and what theeffects pedals werecontrolling.Solos all round showingmuch improvement.

    Creative ideas are startingto emerge.

    Formative Students picked up theblues scale quicker as it isonly one note added ontoa minor pentatonic scale.The pedals of choice werethe wah-wah pedal andchorus pedal. The lowerlevelled students haveshown much progressionand the more advancedstudents have greatprogress with theirsoloing. All roundimprovement.
