Submit completed Scarecrow Decorating Contest registration form and $15 registration fee to Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC), 24550 W. Renwick Road, Plainfield beginning September 20.

MATERIALS RECOMMENDED FOR SCARECROWS:• Chicken wire • Corn husks and stalks• Straw • Rubber foam• Disposable shopping bags as fillers • Foil wrapped objects• Strung beads • Yarn• Fabric • Soda cans• Wood items • Plastic containers (film, margarine)• Old clothing • Plastic milk bottles• and other lasting products that will withhold their shape after repeated wind and rain.

• Submit completed Scarecrow Decorating Contest registration form and $15 registration fee to Prairie Activity & Recreation Center (PARC), 24550 W. Renwick, Plainfield, beginning Sept. 20.

• You will be provided a scarecrow frame to take home. You can pick up your frame beginningSept. 20 @ PARC.

• Scarecrows will be displayed at Eaton Preserve during the Autumn Family Fun Fest.• Ballots will be available for all attendees of the Autumn Family Fun Fest to vote for their

favorite scarecrow.• 9x12” sign will be in front of your scarecrow with your your family/business/troop name.• Scarecrow drop off will take place on October 3rd from 5-8:30p at PARC.

• Use your most creative ideas within the bounds of acceptable public display. Offensive scarecrows will not be allowed. Be sure to construct your scarecrow for durability. Keep in mind that it will have to withstand rainy and windy October weather.

• Judging will take place on October 5th during the Autumn Family Fun Fest from 1-4p.Winners will be notified on October 7th. Winners will also be featured on thePark District Facebook page and Instagram. Please “like” us on Facebook!

• Scarecrows will be removed on October 7th. If you wish to keepyour scarecrow, they will need to be picked up from

PARC by October 8th before 8:30p.
