It’s a free day out with lot of children’s art activities, a live scarecrow

competition, plenty of children’s scarecrows to admire and music

to enjoy!

Aussie Icon ARTIST Schools/Kindergarten TRADITIONAL

How to use this map: Grab a car load of family or friends and follow the Scarecrow Trail. Plan your route to find the 2016 scarecrows and admire the ‘Aussie icon’ themed or traditional scarecrows that have become a community art form. Prizes are awarded to: Best Aussie Icon Scarecrow | Best Traditional Scarecrow | Best School/Kindergarten Scarecrow | Best Artist Permanent Sculpture Scarecrow | People’s Choice Award – please vote! THERE ARE SOME GREAT PRIZES UP FOR GRABS!Every Scarecrow is judged according to how well the scarecrow celebrates the themes, its durability, creativity and attention to detail and craftsmanship. Winners announced on Festival Day, Saturday 1 October, 1.00pm, Red Hill Recreation Reserve.
