HowdoIaccessmyHALaccountonline?

If you are new to the website but already have a HAL ID (purchased a 2013/14 licence through a private licence issuer, Ministry of Environment or select Provincial Park office, or call center) visit the ministry website at http://www.environment.gov.sk.ca/licences/. From there you will need to click on the “Enter” link to get to the online licensing site (self-serve).

Once on the self-serve, you must select “Existing Customers (Access your HAL Account)”. You will then be given the option to look up your existing Hunting and Angling (HAL) account and purchase licences. To look up your existing account you will be required to enter a HAL ID or other identification on your account, and your date of birth.

IfIdonothaveaHALaccount, howdoIgoaboutcreatingone? If you have not yet created a HAL account you can do so online by selecting “New Customers (Create your HAL Account)”. You will then need to enter a secondary piece of identification (eg. Drivers’ licence) and your date of birth, then click “Lookup Profile”.

A message will appear stating that no account has been found with the supplied information. Lower down there is a link in blue text, “sign up page”, click on this. You will be required to confirm your residency by selecting the appropriate type, then fill out all blanks marked with an asterisk (*) as these are required fields. Once you have entered all the required information please review to confirm it is correct (if you are a Sask. Resident please ensure your name matches that on your Health Services card), then click “Accept Privacy Policy and Create”. Once you have successfully created your account, your HAL ID will be automatically generated and displayed. Your HAL ID is permanent and identifies you for all hunting, angling and trapping licences. Keep this number for your records.

Please note that you will be able to purchase hunting, angling, and trapping licences through your account as they become available, and you do not need to create separate accounts. However, a web account cannot be shared by more than one individual. Each individual must create their own personal web account. *Important Reminder – Once you have purchased a licence you must print, sign and carry the licence with you while hunting/angling/trapping. If you are purchasing a Big Game licence that requires seals, such as a Big Game Draw licence, or a Game Bird licence which requires a ledger (Canadian and Non-Residents) you have two choices:

1. If you have a convenience pack of generic seals/ledgers on hand, you can enter a seal/ledger number during the purchase process. You can obtaining a convenience pack through a private issuer, Ministry of Environment or select Provincial Park office, by phone or online.

2. You can select the mail option in which case your licence and seal(s)/ledger will be mailed to you. If you choose this option you will need to allow up to 10 business days for your licence to arrive.

HowdoIgetaSaskatchewanResidentEither‐sexWhite‐tailedDeerand/orSaskatchewanResidentGameBirdlicenceforayouth? If you looking to purchase a SK Resident Either-sex White-tailed Deer or SK Resident Game Bird licence for a youth you will have to purchase the SK Resident Youth Game licence. This licence comes with both the SK Resident White-tailed Deer and SK Resident Game Bird licence. Keep in mind an individual cannot hunt with the White-tailed Deer licence unless the licence and associated seal are in the hunter’s possession. If you chose to have your licence and seal mailed to you, you will need to wait up to 10 business days before it will arrive in the mail. If this is the case you can still print off a copy of your licence and hunt game birds immediately after purchasing your licence as no ledger is required for Saskatchewan residents. Ensure you sign and date your licence after printing. For those who chose the mail option, once your licence and seal arrive in the mail, you must sign, date and hunt with the paper licence sent with your seal as this licence will be printed with your seal number on the licence. Ensure you sign and date the licence and also in your seal with the appropriate information.
