ABOUT

SariahIf there's one thing Sariah, the Queen of Hearts, knows how to do, it's tell love stories.

Not the kind where the distressed damsel meets her knight in shining armor. Not even where girl meets boy and they live happily ever after. Sariah

sings a more realistic, raw, modern day love story; where girls hook up on one night stands, drink body shots off one another, and use men for their own sexual gratification. These are the songs about today’s party girls –

and they’re igniting dance floors all over the world.

“For so long, only bad girls talked openly about sex,”

explains the singer. “I’m the first good girl to tackle the subject because believe it or not, we good girls enjoy it too.”

Sariah

grew up in suburban Massachusetts, where she began piano and vocal lessons at five-years-

old. Whitney Houston was an early inspiration.

“I was drawn to how Whitney blended tremendous vocal power with gut wrenching soul. She was a true diva who sang from the heart and delivered in a way that made others feel it in theirs.”

Sariah

knew she was destined to be a diva too. However, she would not follow a path paved by past divas. She wanted to carve one all her own. That meant finding her own truth to sing and a way to make others feel her message the way she felt Houston’s.

“I want to be the fire of nightlife and I want my music to be i t s an them. ”

After college, she moved to New York City and was captivated by the bright lights and velvet ropes. She sings about it in ‘Deep N Luv’

(a top twenty Billboard dance track), ‘All About Sex’

and her latest single, ‘Kill the Lights’.

“Darkness has a mysterious and dangerous side to it,”

Sariah

explains. “There are so many ways to hide in the dark, but I think it’s true what they say: What happens in the dark always comes to light.”

“Club music is where my heart is,”

she continues. “I love the passion, the freedom to express one’s self, the sexiness, the mystery, and the excitement. I want to be the fire of nightlife and I want my music to be its anthem.”

She doesn’t mind that she is frequently compared to that other pop party princess, Britney Spears. Their sounds are similar, she admits, but “My fans hear the difference when I sing my ballads unplugged. That’s when I really pull from my diva influences and sing from my soul.”

This saucy Queen of Hearts is not one to play with, but she certainly is one to party with.

Beat BoxTracks Poppin’ Into ClubsBy Jimmy Newsum

After beating a retreat in the face of the hip hop ex-plosion, great pop music is on the march again. Thelast couple of months have seen brilliant singles frompop artists Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha. Hereare some of the best new tracks popping into gay

clubs this month.“All About Sex”SariahSariah leans morethan a bit toward theprovocative in her lat-est ‘party hard and livelife to the max’ track.Less concerned withaiming at the main-stream radio dial, she and her collaborators make “AllAbout Sex” as street and club ready a record as pos-sible. Following Lady Gaga’s lead, Sariah’s out tobend current trends to her needs. “All About Sex” is animpressively produced, rambunctious record that maybecome the celebratory party anthem of the summer.
