(The native was born on 29-07-1867 on a Monday morning which happened to be the 15th day

of the Solar month of Cancer in the year Prabhava.

The planetary positions are as follows:- Sun- Pushya -4, Moon- Arudra -3, Mars-U.Phalguni

-2, Mercury (R)- Aslesha -2, Jupiter (R) Satabhishak -3,Venus- Punarvasu -4,Saturn -

Comments From Yenbeeyes: While trying to prepare the chart in Jhora for the date 29-07-1867 given above using Lahiri Chitrapaksha Ayanamsa and a time of birth as 7:07 AM with a Longitude of 79 E 53 and a latitude of 11 N 56 we get the following planetary positions: Sun Pushya -4; Moon Ardra 3; Mars U.Phalguni -1; Mercury-R Aslesha -2; Jupiter R Satabhishang -3; Venus Punarvasu -3; Saturn Visaka -2; Rahu P.Phalguni -4; Ketu P.Bhadrapada -2;

So there is a difference in the position of two planets viz. Mars and Venus.1

1 Locating when this chart native was born is difficult with the current Vedic astro softwares, we took the help of one western astrology

software Solar Fire via a SA Core Team member and this is what she said about the period of the chart, checked from 1000-2012 and found JU in AQ, SA in LI, Rahu in AQ from July 29-Sept 13, 1867 but the other placements did not fit then. Then I looked from 0000-1000 and found July 7-18, 0100 and Nov. 27-Dec. 31, 0361 for JU in AQ, SA in LI, Rahu in AQ and Ketu in Leoand within these date ranges when I checked the other placements I could not find them in the 0361 date range or the 0100 date range. I went back almost 4000 years BC 12/16/1966 BC to 12/24/1965 BC .JU, SA and the nodes are in the right place but could not get all the other placements to line up

3/17/2523 BC to 8/29/2523 BC. JU, SA and the nodes are in the right place but other planetary positions do not line up 1/20/3732 BC to 2/22/3732 BC JU, SA and the nodes are in the right place but other planetary positions do not line up - SA

But the Balance Dasa at the time of birth goes off by 2 months. It is given in verse 38 down below that the balance of Rahu dasa at birth is 8 years 9 months. As per Jhora it comes to 8 Years 9 months and 14 days taking 360 days savanna year and 8 years 11 months taking normal solar year of 365.2425 days. Further research is on for the readers.

2. To this query of Parvathi Devi, the Sage Viswamithra replies as follows: A male birth is

born in this combination. The house where the native is born will be facing the South

in a street that runs East-West. Temples of Lord Shiva, Kali, Vishnu and Shakthi

Devi are situated towards eastern side of this house.

(Translators Note:- The planets in different directions must be noted. The planets are

placed in the directions taking the ascendant as East. The counting goes as East, South, West

and North. (If Cancer Lagna is taken as the East, Leo will be South, Virgo will be West, Libra will

be North, Aquarius will be North and Gemini will be North. Planets placed in these signs have been

grouped according to directions.)

Jupiter is Jeevakaraka for man and Venus for woman. Look at the direction of Jupiter. It is in

the north. That means the house faces the south in the street that runs East- West. Look at

the planets from the position of Jupiter. The padas travelled by the other planets help in

determining the temples and their directions.

reverse direction as also Purvabhadrapada 2nd pada will also be 2nd pada of Aquarius in anti-clockwise

direction)

From this it is seen that Jupiter in the 5th pada of Aquarius more or less occupies the centre of

the sign (As there are 9 padas in a sign). From that in the east (as per the diagram above)

Venus (at 1st pada), Sun at 5th pada and Mercury at 7th pada might indicate Shiva (Sun), Kali,

Vishnu (Mercury) and Shakthi (Venus is for Shakthi as Venus in enemy sign is Yakshi as per

Prasna Marga. No separate indicator for Kali. It might mean that the temple is Shiva- Kali as

the sign is that of Moon. The Moon is waning at the time of birth. So it is Kali. If the moon

is waxing, the deity would be Durga.)

Remarks Venus has conjoined a male planet Sun and is aspected by Jupiter a male planet (Jaimini aspect). Hence the conjunction of Mercury- a female eunuch is overruled. Also Cancer is a male sign.

Another method: Convert the Ishta Ghatika into vighatis (by multiplying Ghatikas with 60). Divide

the same by 225. If the reminder is 0 to 15 or 46 to 90 or 151 to 225 it will be a male child and if it is

between 16 to 46 or 91 to 150 it will be a female. Ishta Ghatikas are available in Jhora software and for

this chart for the birth time of 7:07, Ishta Ghatika is 2.9352 or (2.9352 x 60) = 176 vighatis. Division by

225 is not possible and hence reminder will be 176 which falls in the male category. Hence birth time

may be taken as correct.

3. Many streets converge in the North West, where temples of Mariyamman and Ganesha

are situated. There is a water body in the West and a river in the South. The native is

born as the 10th child in his family, in a small town with these landmarks. Let us tell

his fortunes.

(Translators Notes:- Moon at 5th pada and Ketu (having covered 2 padas) are to the west of

Jupiter, (moon at 5th pada must be behind Jupiter by a few degrees) but placed in the

northern direction thereby making them the planets in the North west of Jupiter. They

perhaps signify Mariamman and Ganesha temples (Ketu). Saturn also is in the same direction

as North but is in the 8th pada. As lord of the Kendra it is exalted in another Kendra and has

traveled more degrees than all the others.

Perhaps Saturns strength and location in odd sign is a determinant of the male birth. Its

location along with Jeevakaraka perhaps did not make a distinction to note a separate deity.

Deity signified by Moon is read along with Saturn (signifactor of a female Grama devatha) as

Mariammaan.

The verse says that there is a water body in the west and a river in the South. Looking at

these directions, Cancer lagna which also happens to be the moving sign indicates birth near

a water body. According to the above details related to water bodies, Cancer in the east

(lagna) oversees a water body in the west. Saturn (signifying the hometown here),

occupying Libra in the Northern direction oversees a river in the South.

This must be checked with other nadi horoscopes.

I did not find this tallying with the Saptarishi nadi, on Gemini ascendant translated by Mr Yenbeeyes,

which is posted in Saptarishis website. Perhaps other methods were used. We can check other

horoscopes of Viswamitra Nadi for the above hints. )

context is such that the sage is giving the details of Samudrika Lakshana (broadly speaking

palmistry). The same kind of description is given in this nadi with the commentary showing

this as a feature of the native. Therefore in my opinion padhamana nadai refers to balanced

and therefore beautiful gait)

demanded more money from them.

20th year is indicative of 8th house as per BCP. In the chart 8th house has Jupiter who is the 9L

of religious ceremony & 7th lord of marriage from Moon Asc. The 8H is Aquarius and its

lord Saturn and Rahu are placed in the 4th house and 2nd house both indicative of

family/addition to family. Jupiter placed in the 8th house is aspecting these two planets also.

The native was running Jupiter Dasa at that time and Venus/Sun Antardasa. Both Sun and

Venus are aspecting the 7th house and Sun is lord of 2nd house of addition to family and

Venus is lord of 4th house of family and 11th house of spouse (BPHS Chp 11 Shl 11).

There is a BSP rule which says that wherever Ketu is placed, it shows its results on the 11th from it in

the 19th/20th year. Here the 11th house to Ketu is the 6th house, but from Moon Asc this 6th

house becomes the 7th house of marriage. One must note that Ketu sits in the 8th house which

is considered the Mangalaya Sthana of marriage, being 2nd of gains from 7th.
