What is the SAP EarlyWatch Alert
Important technical data (‘Service Data’) are extracted on the system for which a EarlyWatch Alert Check is processed and are transmitted via a remote connection to your Solution Manager, where the data are processed.
For your convenience data can also be transmitted to SAP directly and processed in SAP internal service system.
The data transferred includes only technical data with non sensitive content, which is transparent and manageable in transaction SDCCN.
The processing system analyzes this data and provides a clear overview of the results in a report.
Keeping total cost of ownership low and the performance of your SAP solution high is a tremendous value to your business – a value delivered by SAP EarlyWatch Alert.

SAP EarlyWatch Alert compared to SAP EarlyWatch Check
The SAP EarlyWatch Alert is an automated tool provided by SAP to be run weekly. By using this tool, you can monitor the performance and the administration of each SAP system in your solution landscape. The automatic checks carried out in the EarlyWatch Alert are being developed constantly. Depending on the status of your system, the SAP EarlyWatch Alert will trigger further services such as the SAP EarlyWatch Check.
The SAP EarlyWatch Check is normally performed over a remote connection by a technical service engineer. During the service your system is being analyzed. The service engineer will also diagnose particularly complex problems and develop solutions.
