4. Personal skills - Due to a long record of interdisciplinary work, I am good at communicating research to scientists

from other fields and managing interdisciplinary projects. - I have a vast ability to adapt to multicultural environments gained through 14 years of working and

studying abroad in Austria, Denmark, and Sweden, as well as through frequent travelling in Europe, Africa, Asia, and central, north and south America.

- I am highly capable of knowledge transfer, which is evident from my extensive mentoring activities, publication and outreach record, as well as presentations at scientific conferences.

- I am good at working independently as well as at teamwork. Already during my PhD, much of my research was very independent and involved taking care of my project budget as well as designing my own studies, which led to three out of four first-author publications. I am also good at teamwork, due to the numerous collaborations, and working together with researchers, laboratory technicians, graduate, and undergraduate students.

- I acquired organizational and fundraising skills firstly through organizing several projects firstly, during my work as a volunteer in several non-profit organizations: Junior Research Association at AU, Biology Students’ Society; Society of Students of Cultural Studies, kult.co (as a vice-president); and SHS, Societas herpetologica slovenica at the University of Ljubljana and secondly, during my postdoc and assistant professor positions applying for funding as PI and co-PI, as well as acquiring management roles in MILAF and Atmospherica interdisciplinary networks.
