The   4-‐MW   Landfill   Methane   Recovery  and   Power   Genera9on   Project   is  located   in   San   Pedro,   Laguna.     It   is  18km  from  Maka9  City          

-‐  Owned  and  operated  by  Pilotage  Trading  and  Construc7on  

-‐  The  San  Pedro  Sanitary  Landfill  has  been  receiving  waste  since  2003  

-‐  Cell  1-‐5  =  18  Has    

-‐  Currently  receiving  waste  from  Municipalites  of  Laguna  

 -‐  BEI  has  installed  84  

collec7ng  wells  throughout  cell  1-‐4  

Installed  Capacity   4,212  MW  (4MW)

BALANCING  THE  GAS  FIELD  à  Involves  Balancing  flow,  oxygen,  methane  and  pressure    Primary  Considera7ons  in  Managing  Landfill  Gas  Extrac9on:  

–  Mi9ga9on  Escape  of  GHG    –  Maximize  u9lisa9on  of  CH4  (CH4  ≥  50  %volume)  –  Minimize  O2  levels  (O2%volume)  

   Classified  as  a  Clean  Development  Mechanism  Project   (“CDM”)  and   is  expected   to   receive   cer9fied   emission   reduc9on   (“CER”)   cer9ficates  from:    1)   The   Collec9on   and   Destruc9on   of   methane   generated   from   the  landfill  

2)   The   Displacement   of   pollu9ng   fuel   sources   used   in   electricity  genera9on.    Expected   to   generate   upto   130,000   tCO2e   over   a   10   year   Credi9ng  period
