I n 1983, Ashley Wilson had the spark of an idea of selling fusion foods. Two years later,

research and development of fusion food recipes had been discovered, and he finally started

the business in 1985. The very first of Fandado Restoracio® was founded at Harrow City,

London.

Owing to the uniqueness of the products and the brilliance of Ashley, the business of Fandado

Restoracio® grown rapidly. Within five years, Fandado Restoracio® has become famous by

franchising and expanding to the whole of United Kingdom.

In 1999, Ashley Wilson attained the age of 66 and he decided to pass the business to his son,

James Wilson. James’ penchant for the business eventually led him to expand the business in

the European continent.

By 2000, the business has performed steadily and becomes one of the very best choice of fusion

food restaurant in the world. As of 2014, there are currently 186 branches of Fandado

Restoracio® worldwide.

I n long terms operations, Fandado Restoracio is able to achieve a positive

profit in the business. From the financial summary above, on 2013, the

company experienced a decrease in yearly profit from 4150.2 millions to 3700.6

millions due to major investment in nurturing programs for employees which are

created solely for the purpose of creating highly dedicated employees.

However, with an improving economy in Europe, followed by expansion in

foreign countries, will provide new market opportunities and increase revenue

for the business.

F andado Restoracio® has been publishing “Le Gastronome”

annual newsletter since January 1997. The purpose of publishing

the newsletter is to provide information to shareholders of our activities

throughout the year in conjunction with future plans.

In this volume of newsletter, readers can know more about the history of

our company, five activities organized by Fandado Restoracio® and two

future plans for our company. The highlighted activities organized

included Motivational Speech, Times Food Pastry Competition and

Special Promotion for the 30 years anniversary etc. Besides that, two

future plans for our company are collaboration with ASJKA and oversea

expansions.

Our newsletter aims to provide necessary information for stakeholders,

investors as well as potential investors.

A s our company expands, it creates a need

to increase our workforce.

Middle management that grows larger and

larger creates divergence among its members

due to the lack of communications.

To bring unity within the organization, Fandado

Restoracio® has launched a teambuilding event

on May 2013.

I n this event, several managers gathered from different branches of

Fandado Restoracio®. Managers from the main headquarters in

London, Germany, France, Italy and Belgium were among the participants.

The famed psychologist, Dr. Wong was invited to give a motivational speech

to reinvigorate the morale of the workforce. The title of the speech was

“Think Positive, Do More Together”. The members of the workforce greeted

Mr. Wong with great enthusiasm and they were very attentive during his

speech.

One of the best moments of the speech was an anecdote given by Mr.Wong.

He said, “Everyone assumes that there is only one cake in the company, and

we have to compete with one another to see who gets the larger piece.” He

then ended it with “However, this is not true. We must think positively, and

work together so that we have more cakes to share and refrain from taking

advantage of other people. In this case, nobody will be the loser, and there

will be only winners that build the foundation of a great company”.

C ongratulations to Carolyn Spring from Australia, for

winning the Pastry Competition presented by Times Food!

Fandado Restoracio® launched its 4th annual Pastry Competition

on February 2013, 25-27 in Kuala Lumpur.

A group of ten international pastry chefs competed for the grand

prize, an offer to become Chef de Partie of pastries food and

signature dessert of Fandado Restoracio®.

The competition was organized to provide fine dining pastry chefs

an opportunity to shine with courses of plated desserts. There are

no traditional showpieces to be had here! Carolyn’s masterpiece

“Roseto Racio Marry” is an innovative recipe that managed to woo

the tastes of our judges. The “Roseto Racio Marry” is an elegant

blend of English and Australian dessert.

The judging panel was comprised of the industry luminaries who

know their way around a kitchen - Celebrity Chef Malcom Goh was

the official Executive Chef Consultant of the competition; guest

judges included Sherson Lian, Anis Nabilah, Johnny Fua, Ezani

Farhana, Kamarul Hasni, and Pearl Woo. Dishes were evaluated on

presentation, execution, creativity, taste, and theme. Throughout

the competition, the reputation of the restaurant has been widely

lauded by the food industry.

The Roseto Racio Marry dessert has attracted countless gourmets to

taste it, and it will be available in selected branches of Fandado

Restoracio® in the summer of 2014.

He graduated from the

Culinary Institute of

America (CIA) in Hyde

Park, New York at age

25 and started his

career as professional

pastry baker at age 27.

F andado Restoracio® has been around for a long time since it was established on 5 March

1985. From that moment onwards, the business has never been better.

To commemorate Fandado Restoracio® 30th anniversary happening this year, a special

promotion event is planned for all branches beginning from 5 January 2014 until 5 March 2014.

During this promotion period, the dishes served by the restaurant will be sold by in set meals.

There are three sessions for the promotion, which are breakfast, lunch and dinner.

During breakfast, a combination of freshly brewed Japanese Green Tea along with American

style pancake will be served. At lunch, there will be a selection of Thai food that goes with fresh

tropical fruit juices. For dinner, western dining with steak and Italian pasta will be among the

dishes available in conjunction with Australian wine.

Through this special event, Fandado Restoracio® hopes to maintain customer relationships as

well as to encourage first time tasters.

Fandado Restoracio® wishes all customers and employees a happy anniversary and hopes that

everyone will enjoy the promotion offered.

M ichael Lye, Head Product Researcher, has brainstormed the idea of collaborating with

Askja International Corporation, which is a multinational corporation dealing in the

tea industry located in Iceland. Rising demand for high quality tea in restaurants was fueled

by an increase in coffee consumption. Fandado Restoracio® would like to use this

opportunity to increase revenue and market share of the business.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Benedict Lee has made arrangement with the CEO of Askja

International Corporation, Jose Mourinho. The transaction was done smoothly and a pre-

contract has been signed.

In December 2015, Fandado Restoracio® and Askja International Corporation will officially

collaborate. Askja would produce five of its best selling tea (Cinnamon, Earl Grey, Darjeeling,

Ceylon and Jasmine Black) to be sold in all Fandado Restoracio® branches.

With Fandado Restoracio® providing unique and delicious food, and Askja providing classic

yet healthy tea, the customer satisfaction of both companies will surely create greater brand

awareness.

The collaboration between the two companies will

also benefit both companies in finances, human

resources, physical capital and cultural capital

sectors. Through this alliance, estimations predict a

growth in net profit by 8.6% for Fandado

Restoracio®, and a growth in net profit by 4.32%

for Askja International Corporation.

With great hopes, the collaboration will be of

mutual benefit and a strategic decision for both

companies.

F andado Restoracio® will finally embark on its first ever

expansionary strategy within the South East Asian market as

the future approaches.

For a start, we have selected the metropolis of Kuala Lumpur, the

heart of the Malaysia’s federal administration as our first

restaurant in South East Asia. 1200 square feet of the Pavillion

Kuala Lumpur Shopping Centre will house Fandado Restoracio®

that could serve up to 300 customers at any given time.

The menu served will be a selected range of our signature dishes

that includes our best selling Fandeto Amaro. In addition, we

would also include several new recipes that are created from local

dishes from Malaysia. Singapore, Vietnam, and Thailand are also

excellent sources to form other recipes from a variety of food.

The restaurant is expected to open in the 3rd quarter of the year

2015. With the expectations of 5.2% of growth in the Malaysian

GDP for the year of 2015, we are optimistic that our restaurant will

be well received by the general public. Combining our experience

and expertise, Malaysians will indulge in a new form of casual

dining that will revolutionize the way we eat.
