The Hassles Of MovingDo you remember what it was like before you made the smart decision to live here at Morningside Courts: The hassle of finding an affordable and convenient location; the inconvenience of packing your valuables and getting the help to move them; all the unnecessary wear and tear on your furniture and electronic equipment. Don't let another day go by without renewing your wonderful lifestyle with us. Call the Management Office for more information.

Hello! Where are You?We are in the process of updating our records and have discovered that we don't have current phone numbers for many of our residents. In the event of an emergency we need to be able to contact you. Please call the Management Office with your current information. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Good Way To MaintenanceA good way to clean blinds is to wear a pair of cotton work gloves. Dip both hands into a solution of all- purpose household cleaner and water, and use your gloved fingers to wash the slats.

Country StrongCountry music artist Tim McGraw who got our attention as Sandra Bullock’s husband in last years hit ‘Blind Side’ returns to the screen in a drama centered on a rising country-music songwriter (Garrett Hedlund) who has eyes for a star (Gwyneth Paltrow) whose fame is dwindling. Together, they plan his rise and her comeback, which leads to romantic complications involving her husband/manager (Tim McGraw) and a beauty queen-turned-singer (Leighton Meester).

BiutifulFresh from his Best Supporting Actor win for ‘No Country For Old Men’ (2007) Javier Bardem deliver’s another troubled character as a man on the road to redemption, as darkness lights his way. He’s connected with the afterlife, a tragic hero and father of two who’s sensing the danger of death. He struggles with a tainted reality and a fate that works against him in order to forgive, for love, and forever. Sounds pretty foreboding, if anyone can make one experience the character’s plight, its actor Javier Bardem!

Casino JackPolitics and the wheeling & dealings behind closed doors are front-page news. This political thriller starring Kevin Spacey and Kelly Preston has my attention with the story of A hot shot Washington DC lobbyist and his protégé go down hard as their schemes to peddle influence lead to corruption and murder.

The Green Hornet 3-DThe famous comic book and television series heroes comes to the big screen with a script co-written and starring Seth Rogan. By night, debonair newspaper publisher Britt Reid fights crime as a masked superhero known as The Green Hornet (Seth Rogan), with help from his close friend martial arts expert Kato (Jay Chou) and his new Secretary Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz). Together they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime.

Ring in Some New Year’s Financial

ResolutionsNow that 2011 is almost here, you may want to make some New year’s resolutions. And this year, why not add some financial resolutions? Here are a few ideas to consider:

First, boost your retirement ac-counts. Put as much as you can afford into your IRA and 401(k) or other employer-sponsored plan.Next, look for good investment op-portunities. Many quality stocks are now good values, based on their price-to-earnings ratio. Also, review your portfolio to make sure it still reflects your goals and risk tolerance and rebalance if necessary.

In addition, maintain adequate cash levels so you won’t be forced to tap into long-term investments to pay for short-term needs.

Finally, reduce your debt load as much as possible, so you’ll have more money available to invest.

By following these suggestions, you can help yourself make progress toward your long-term goals in 2011 — and in all the New years that follow.

Did you know... that Julius Caesar was the first to set January 1st as the New year? Caesar did so when he established the Ju-lian calendar. The Julian calendar, named for Julius Caesar, decreed that the new year would occur on January 1st. Caesar wanted the year to begin in January since it celebrat-ed the beginning of the civil year and the festival of the god of gates and, eventually, the god of all begin-nings, Janus, after whom January was named.
