Dear friends of sailing and Salona yachts, we are proud to introduce our fl agship, the Salona 60 in the water. Meeting the highest expectations, she proved to be a real example of Salona boat builders skill and passion. We are also proud to see our yachts continue winning races, but more than anything, we are happy to see smiling faces of our owners on all the continents. Supported by Prevent group we continue to grow, as the production of our new yacht Salona 67 has already begun. Prevent Group was founded in 1952 as a manufacturer of working

garment and protective clothing. Today, it is a multinational company present in more than 20 countries all over the world. Our Salona models in the range from 33 to 67 feet share uncompromised quality, combining high performance and joy of cruising.

At Salona we go for the best, and we go there for you.

Sincerely, Your Salona Team

the meaning of performance

Salona is widely recognized as a builder of premium performance cruisers. Apart from the undoubted sailing ability, the performance for us also means comfort and safety, crucial for relaxed and joyful living on board. We find the combination of performance and comfort the winning formula for many Salona owners. Therefore, our new designs emphasize large living areas with a lot of natural light, while our Mediterranean origins have always kept outside spaces open

and joyful. Another important feature of our yachts is safety. The ability to sail fast comes hand in hand with perfect manoeuverability and ability to stand against demanding weather conditions which makes all our models easy to handle with less crew necessary to fully control the yacht, even in the toughest situations. The reason of such performance in this field lies in the strong and uncompromised construction of our yachts.

high tech boat building...

the quality

Strong and light construction is a consequence of the advanced building techniques, such as vacuum infusion of the hulls and decks, used for many years. Modern building materials varying from multi axial glass to carbon fi bres combined with advance resins make our yachts an example of uncompromised construction quality. In addition, all our models have been reinforced with stainless steel interior frame structures, uniting the hull with keel and mast. From the very beginning, our yard has

been dedicated to getting every detail right, aiming for perfection. The production process has been optimized for quality control, allowing each yacht to be inspected through every production phase. Our team of experts is available at any moment after our yachts leave the production site. The yacht equipment is made by world leading companies, perfectly matching the Salona style. Furthermore, our after sales network is active on fi ve continents, meaning that Salona owner will never be alone.

The NOBLE One

The newest product from Salona yard marks the completely new chapter for Croatian performance cruisers builder. The fl agship of the brand, Salona 60 emphasizes the best values of Salona yachts. Uncompromised construction is united with elegant, eye catching exterior design well balanced with modern, extremely comfortable and spacious interiors. Created as the ultimate private performance cruiser, the design of Salona 60 is signed by America’s Cup talent Jason Ker. The exterior lines are simple

and sporty, especially the open transom and fl ash deck bow, but the ability to sail in demanding weather conditions is uncompromised. Her large sail plan is easily handled due to combination of hydraulic and electric systems, while the hull profi le supports fast and safe sailing. All this is possible due to the use of the most advanced construction materials - the hull and deck are laminated using vacuum infusion and the best available glass structures in combination with structural foam for the sandwich construction, while the longitudinal beams have been reinforced with carbon fi ber. advanced construction ensures good performance under sail and the maximum safety of use. The yacht is available in as many as six different interior layouts. The main deck is marked by the huge but low profi le cockpit, almost invisible from the outside, making the silhouette of Salona 60 extremely elegant. The full teak deck makes it look even bigger, gently drawing the design lines of the hull on the deck. The spacious seats around a large foldable cockpit table made in teak wood are a great dining place for eight guests or more (the yacht is certifi ed for 14 persons), easily converted into lounge area with a coffee table. The central mainsheet is positioned behind the living zone without interrupting the guests even on a hard sail. This zone is

easily covered with adjustable bimini hidden behind the backrest when not in use. The main electrical winches are positioned next to the twin carbon fi ber steering wheels, making it simple for the captain to control the yacht on his own. In addition, the steering wheel console is equipped with series of sail control buttons like backstay, boom vang, and outhaul. The hydraulic controlled stern garage door hides the space for easy storage of a 3.25 m tender. The skipper’s cabin is located in the bow and is accessible through a large hatch. The cabin accommodates a crew of two with a separate shower. The main salon is the main highlight of the new yacht, due to combination of living area and galley, offering almost 40-square-meter space. side windows give fascinating side views, while the large roof openings ensure plenty of daylight in the salon. At the port side, there is a large navigation station, equipped with central control system by Maretron and a PC with 22 inch foldable display. At the center of the yacht there is a large sitting area, a twin sofa on port side and a U shaped couch and a folding table on the starboard side. The owner’s stateroom is located at the front, with a large double bed, ample storages and en suite bathroom with a separate shower. The twin VIP cabins are located in the stern and each offers double berth with shelves and lockers above the bed along hull side.Standard interior layout offers 3 cabins and 3 en suite bathrooms, large salon with a U shaped galley forefront in the lower level and bunk room/offi ce on the port side. Interior joinery consists of marine grade water proof core, faced with selected veneer. All main bulkheads in GRP are covered with white painted and veneered panels. Cushions are made in high quality foam with selected upholstery. As Salona 60 enters the super yacht league, choice of interior materials is completely made by the future owners.

The ADVENTUROUS One

Salona 33 is a result of teamwork that brought together our own extensive design and engineering resources and external designers, Olympic and professional sailors. Most importantly, this design incorporates many features recommended by Salona’s cruising and racing customers. Its spacious cockpit is free of obstacles, comfortable for cruising, and practical for racing. Two spacious lockers are located in the cockpit with an additional locker dedicated for gas bottle storage.

Top quality sailing gear from internationally recognized suppliers makes the Salona 33 easy to sail with family, crew, or single-handed.The S33 is offered standardly with a tiller. A two steering wheel option is available, making the S33 one of the smallest two wheel performance cruisers on the market. As on all the Salona models, the stainless steel frame takes the load of the keel and shrouds and spreads it securely to the wide area of the hull. order to achieve maximum stiffness and durability, the construction of the new Salona 33 takes an extra step by adding layers of carbon fi bre to carefully analyzed sections of the inner hull liner. As a result, we have achieved the optimum balance between stiffness, durability and weight. The Salona 33 will satisfy a wide range of customer demands, from safe family cruising to high level IRC or ORC racing. The S33 combines a proven and optimized hull shape, two mast options and version of

cruising and performance keels with various draft options. Salona has created modern and inviting interior space by using a mix of GRP and different wood interior options, while reducing performance weight. The spacious interior is fi lled with daylight coming through traditional port lights, hull windows, and hatches. Standard interior is a two-cabin version which includes a spacious head, large navigation table, and functional galley.

The EXCITING One

The Salona 35 is a result of our experience gained through creation and daily use of all our models, from 35 to 60 ft. Its spacious cockpit is free of obstacles with an easily convertible open to closed transom and an extensive use of carbon details. It has two spacious lockers with additional locker dedicated for two gas bottles storage, two steering wheels with carbon pedestals (optional) and top quality sailing gear which makes single-handed sailing easier.

As on all our models the big stainless steel frame takes the load of the keel and shrouds and spreads it securely to the wide area of the hull. On the Salona 35 we have taken an extra step in achieving maximum stiffness and durability of the boat by adding the layers of carbon fi bre on carefully analyzed areas of hull inner liner to obtain equilibrium of stainless steel structure and inner liner attached to it. We believe that the Salona 35 is one of the best value 35ft performance cruisers on the market.

and full standing height, not forgetting good-size wardrobes and storage facilities. The list of options is endless and this is truly a boat built according your particular needs. The heart of the Salona 44 is the construction that lies behind her slender silhouette. Not only is the vacuum infusion system used but it is combined with tri-axial orientated woven fi berglass cloth together with other high-tech resins and materials to give the boat a lighter and stronger hull than you are not likely to fi nd elsewhere. The boat can easily be sailed short-handed with family cruising in

mind. The cockpit and deck layouts include the German mainsheet system, which is led under deck. Special attention has been paid to the development of the twin steering wheel system which, combined with the allocation of the main traveller, simplifi es your sailing. There is also a life-raft storage located beneath the cockpit and close to the transom, which allows quick and easy deployment should an emergency arise. The overall feel of the boat is light and airy; the living accommodation is roomy and practical, offering comfort, style and whatever kind of sailing you want to enjoy.

The BIG one

The Salona 60 marks the entrance of Salona into a new market segment - the market of luxurious semi-custom yachts, and now we are proud to announce the development of an even larger sailing boat - the completely new Salona 67. The Salona 67 prototype is going to be launched in spring 2015. It is a sailboat with an uncompromised sport design. The elegant exterior offers a vast area for outdoor living while the elegant lines of the hull guarantee good performance. On top of that, Salona maintains the spirit of modern, elegant interior designed according to the owner’s preferences, and its principal characteristic is a clear communication with the environment.

Salona RACING

Salona yachts have always been winning regattas, with podium places from the club races to continental and world championships. The racing potential of Salonas and ability to perform in a competitive environment is one of the important brand values. For the owners willing to optimize their yachts to be on the cutting edge of the racing scene, the yard offers a team of experts, ready to make their wishes come true. Regardless of whether it is ORC or IRC handicap or any other rule, the existing potential of the yachts is easily maximized.

Using super light materials in the construction including carbon fibre is a common practice when the owner wants something special. Some of the advanced materials can also be used as decorative elements in the interiors, adding ‘sex appeal’ to the overall look of the yachts. The keel and rudder configurations are optimized to satisfy different requirements and the mast and rigging are set to produce the best possible platform for the sail plans. Every single detail of the yacht is customized according to client’s wishes with only one goal - winning.

We are proud of our uncompromising approach towards quality and product safety. From the very beginning, our yard was dedicated to getting every detail right, aiming for perfection. We have evolved over the years, for example, switching from high quality hand-laid GRP production of hulls and decks towards fully implemented vacuum assisted infusion in combination with advanced resins and

glass structure. This is combined with a stainless steel frame which supports the keel, mast and shrouds, giving our boats an extremely strong but light displacement construction - and at Salona we lead the way in this technology. We also install the best quality sailing gear, because these are the brands you trust and we know will give you reliable and high quality sailing. But as the good ‘ingredients’

are not enough for a good meal, the technology itself doesn’t make the yacht a great one. It is the team of experienced employees that create your dream yacht. In every phase of the production, the quality control is at the maximum, with many man hours spent to build yachts that will be safe, comfortable and fun to use. The

overall quality is not enough if you can not fi nd it in small details. Our interiors are ‘born’ in Catia 3D modelling software, passing extended tests before being implemented and assembled with care to create a product that will make both the owner and the builder proud. The best value of Salona yachts lies in the way they are built.
