To Whom It May Concern

I am pleased to write this reference letter for Mr. Saeed Ur Rahman, who is seeking admission at graduate level in Physics. I personally know Mr. Rahman as my student in 2008-09, and I taught him a course on quantum mechanics, where he obtained A-grade. He was punctual with assignments and have shown good aptitude and dedication to Physics. After graduation, he was selected for the most prestigious fellowship at the Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Science (PIEAS), where he did his MS in medical Physics. Mr. Rahman has been working at Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Science as Scientific Officer/Engineer since 2009/10.

Mr. Rahman has an excellent academic record and he has personally two very good distinctions in the Pakistani system of education. He has secured FIRST CLASS throughout his educational career (from class 1 to his M.Sc*) and remained ranked 3rd in a group of about 100 students in his academic session for two years. He earned merit scholarship as well the University distinction for the achievement.

Mr. Rahman has studied in English Medium Institutes. Further he has done M.Sc project/thesis, where he also did well and managed A-grade. His English scale is very good (as it should be, because the medium of instruction here is English) and hope that he will be great teaching assistant and graduate student.

Mr. Rahman has a pleasant personality and the best thing about him is that he is highly motivated for higher studies. His academic record and interests in Physics makes him an excellent candidate for higher studies in world class Universities.

Based on his abilities described above, I strongly recommend him for both admission and graduate assistantship and wish him best of luck. I hope he will be an A-grade graduate/post graduate student and researcher, if given an opportunity. If you have any specific question of concern regarding Mr. Rahman, please don’t hesitate contacting me anytime.

Sincerely,

(AURANGZEB KHAN, Ph.D) Associate Professor of Physics
