One Quiet Hour With Jesus!
Doesn’t that thought provoke a yearning? We all desire some
quiet time, and to be at the feet of Jesus is the perfect place!
An Adorer is needed to fill the 9:00 a.m. hour every Wed.
This is a weekly commitment that is a blessing in your life! If you are hesitant because there are days you may not be able to attend, there are substitutes available. Possibly 2 people to rotate could be an option. Please be one of them!
Furthermore, if this time slot doesn’t work for you, consider taking on any hour that does work for you. You won’t be sor-ry! You’ll wonder what has taken you so long! One quiet hour.
Please come spend an hour of quiet time in the peace and presence of our Lord. Contact Fr. Miller or the office at 324-2144.
“Could you not spend ONE HOUR with me?
St. Cecilia’s Fall Supper

Mass for God’s Children Nov. 5 in Jamestown
Bishop John Folda will offer a Mass for God’s Children on Thurs., Nov. 5, 7 p.m., at St. James Basilica in Jamestown. Oftentimes, families who have experi-enced an early infant loss do not have the opportunity to grieve their child’s death with their faith communi-
ty. Yet the Church desires to provide a means for mourning and support through the Liturgy of the Mass. Parents and siblings, together with family members and friends are encouraged to attend the Mass for God’s Children in remembrance of their child(ren). A reception will follow. For more information contact Rachelle, 701-356-7910 or e-mail: [email protected] For resources on early infant loss go to: www.fargodiocese.org, click on “Life Issues Series.”
40 Days for Life at St. Cecilia’s Since it is difficult for many in the parish to go to Fargo and participate in front of the abortion facility, we asking our parish to have at least one person each day until Nov. 1 to spend one hour in prayer in our church for Life.
You can choose whatever time of day you wish to pray. Please sign up on the calendars in the entrances of the church and use the Daily Devotional Book setting below the wall statue of Mary for thought and inspiration. Thank you! In addition, each Sunday until Nov 1, at 4:00, everyone is invited to spend one hour devoted for meditation, the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet.
The Holy Family Society would like to purchase chairs for the Dining Room, like those already purchased for the Club room & So-cial Center. Anyone wishing to pur-
chase chairs in honor or in memory of a loved one, the cost of a chair is $25.00. It is our desire to have the chairs by Oct. 25th for our Fall Sup-per. Envelopes will be in the bulletin the week-end of Oct. 4th. You may also contribute by contacting the parish office or by mail.
New Items at the Catholic Daughters Religious Ar-ticles Stand. New books including, First Steps: A Baby Journal from Baptism to First Reconciliation
(keepsake); Praying as a Family; Pray Always - A Catholic Childs First Prayer Book. Plus more! Come check it out! If you have any requests for Advent items, please contact Ruth Rutten or Ann Schneibel.
St. Cecilia's choir members will have rehearsal on Wednesday, October 28th at 7:30 pm in the club room. We will be practicing for Mass for Sunday November 1st, All Saints Day. Let's do our
part in making this Mass as special as it should be! May God bless all of you for your dedication to St. Cecilia's music ministry.
You're Invited! As Catholic Christians, one of our main Apostolic duties is to evangelize! Each one of us knows a person that either has questions about (both good and bad) the Catholic Church or in interested in becoming a confirmed member. RCIA stands for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. This Rite consists of 24 weeks of intense study and preparation and is first and foremost designed for
individuals who desire to be Catholic. However, all practicing, non-practicing and fallen away Catholics are invited as well. Together we will explore the Truths of epic propositions such as: * Is there a God and how can we know? * Jesus was He...Lord, Liar or Lunatic?
* If Jesus was who He said He was, what does this mean for us? * Out of 32,000 Christian churches, which ONE church did Jesus establish? * What is Truth? * Why does any of this matter?
We will unpack all the mysteries of this beautiful Faith including the Bible, Sacred Tradition, Salvation History, the Sacraments, the Holy Mother Church and so much more! If you or someone you know is interested in finding out more about Catholicism or how to register, contact the parish office at 324-2144 or Fr. Miller 701-388-9826. Classes begin Wed., Oct. 28th.
Volunteer Help Needed!
The pastoral care department at St. Aloisius Medical Center is looking for volunteers to help bring Holy Communion to the residents/patients on certain days of the week. Also, it would be
helpful if someone would be able to be called to replace someone who is not able to be there that day. If there are two people, it takes about one hour and if you are alone, it may take a little longer. Right now I have a couple openings, and if you are interested in helping, please contact Sr. Mary Agnes at 324-4651. I ask that you pray about this and answer God’s call to this very important mis-sion of bringing Our Lord to the sick.
The Ministerial Association is seeking individuals to volunteer in leading a Bible Study Group at the Nursing Home every Tuesday at 2:00.
Each church will take a turn on a monthly rotation. The program is flexible, you may design your own lesson. Please contact Fr. Miller for more information.
