Why use a steel post when I could use wood?Wood posts rot over time and can warp ortwist due to rain, wind or extreme tempera-tures. The integrity and appearance of awood fence is lost after the wood posts beginto rot from exposure or termite infestation.This deterioration weakens the post, some-times to the point where it can no longerhold the fence up. POSTMASTER gives anordinary wood fence the strength of steel.

Will POSTMASTER rust? POSTMASTER’S open design keeps moisturefrom collecting and the heavy galvanized(zinc) coating helps prevent prematurerusting. POSTMASTER is manufacturedusing a steel base material conforming to the requirements of ASTM A 653, coatingdesignation G90 galvanized (zinc) coating.

Will a steel post cause any adverse affects tothe environment?No. POSTMASTER is made from recycled steel.Chemically treated wood fence posts raiseconcerns about safety and suitability for residential use, and some warranties forchemically treated posts have exclusions for ground contact.

Do I have to sacrifice the look of wood?No. POSTMASTER’S in-line design can be easily covered or concealed with matchingwood, retaining the esthetics of a woodfence. It can be finished with both sidesidentical - a true good neighbor fence.

Is POSTMASTER hard to install?No. Unlike most other steel posts which require brackets and/or fittings,POSTMASTER has pre-punched holes on each flange for attaching rails, eliminatingthe need for expensive brackets for most designs.

Is POSTMASTER more expensive thanwood posts? Only slightly. Good quality materials, like good workmanship, always cost a little more. While the initial cost of POSTMASTER may be slightly morethan a wood post, and often lessexpensive than heavy pipe posts with brackets, the cost of futuremaintenance outweighs the benefitsof a lower initial price.
