The district Community Service chair coordinates and promotes club community service projects within the district.

works with clubs; encourages district-wide participation; shares information and ideas with Rotarians

Encourages clubs to share new ideas which can then be promoted among Rotary Clubs within the district.

Started in Waterford in 1998

Has raised funds of €1,000,000

2010 12 new Rotary clubs joined the program

These 12 new clubs raised an average of €9,675.00 each.

3,000 donations are needed every week.

Over 1,000 people receive transfusions every week in Ireland.

Only 3% of the Irish population give blood, providing blood for a population of over 4 million.

Only 5% of the Irish population eligible to give blood do so.

A car accident victim may require up to 30 units of blood.
