The Board of the trustees met in the year (2014-15) on 30.03.2015 and the Board of the Executive Committee met on 10.06.2014, 15.08.2014, 16.09.2014, 10.12.2014, 15.02.2015 and 30.03.2015. Minutes of the meetings were documented and circulated to all the board members.

A Board Rotation Policy exists and is practiced.

The board approves the programmes, budget, annual activity reports and financials reports/statements. The board ensures the organization’s compliance with law and regulations.

TRIBAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (TDP) This programme is ongoing in Sirumalai Hills and Palani hills of Dindigul district. Further in this year, the

project was extended to Theni dist. ROSI FOUNDATION has provided to the tribe people for the last few

years in the following matters,

1. Solar lights provision 2. Retrieving from caves / risk places and rehabilitation 3. Education to tribe children 4. Skill and Livelihoods training 5. Legal Supports and community certificate

a. Solar Lights : In Solar Light Support programme, 17 families got Solar lanterns in this years in Sirumalai Hills and Palani Hills. It gives lights to their habitation, charging to cell phone, running radio, protection from wild animals, child reading and MFP collection

Educational Home for Tribe Children 42 tribe children, who are scattered in the hills of Sirumalai and Palani under dangerous and tragedy condition without any basic amenities. were collected and joined in our educational home. In this project, they are getting residence school and having basic education, recreation, food, health, etc. Then they have to join in the regular school. It is near with10th std. The accommodation and coaching are continued with food, toiletries, dress, nutrias, recreation, skill training, etc after they enter in the regular school.

Livelihood Training In this year, 25 tribe girls/women were trained in Garments making training in Kudiraiyarudam in that cutting, stitching, embroidering, fabrication and marketing were trained. In the end of the training, they were provided by certificates. Similarly 45 destitute, widow and poor women were trained in Vedaranyam. MFP (Minor forest produces) process training in that 35 tribe women were trained on add value process. It reduces the exploitation middlemen and money lender. Bee keeping training was given to 55 tribe on box fixing, bee rearing, feeding, honey collection and add value process.

Garments Making Training Educational support to Tribe, Widow and Dalit children In this year, 55 poor children of destitute, widows, dalit and tribe were supported for educational materials which contain of uniform, notes, boxes, educational tools and school bag. So they are protected from drop out and educational breaking and are now going to schools and will get promotion in this year.

HOME SUPPORT PROGRAM (HSP) This programme for neglected elder persons since 2008 has been running at Illupur, Pudukkottai dist, Tamil Nadu. They are totally neglected and so they are as isolated from community. They come with hunger, health issue, isolation and psychological affected.

Two inmates of the elder home Now 25 inmates are in the home in that 13 female and 12 male are as beneficiaries. The inmates are from oppressed caste, poor families and rural area but all are either destitute or orphans or neglected. We are

providing a pair of clothes and a plate, Food and nutrias daily, Clothes and blanket with hot, Routine health checkup and Medicine, Recreation, YOGA and Exercise, Safe Accommodation, psychological Counseling and Funeral when die. In the home, they are Free from hunger, Staying with friends in the same age group, Free of the mental oppression and isolation, with happiness in sharing their thoughts and problems with each other inmates, health problems are solved

WOMEN DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (WDP) : (a) WIDOW support

In this programme, 10 widows and destitute women got sewing machine and required accessories. Now they are under earning through running tailoring business.

(b) NSDC STAR DAIRY FARMER TRAINING

ROSI Foundation Trained 747 women on Diary farmers Skill training by its training centres on dairy farmer in Pudukkottai, Trichy, Madurai and Sivaganagi districts. The beneficiaries are belonging to rural poor and agricultural community. They are getting one months’ training and Entrepreneur Development Training (EDP) is also given to all trainees after the training. Practical in feild, Training in room and exposures were done in the training. After the training, assessment took place.

Then Rs 1000 stipend and certificate are provided to all passed candidates. In the following centres and batches with partnership –National Skill Development Corporation NSDC and Empower Pragathi Vocational training &staff Pvt Ltd, New Delhi and Thiyagarajar Educational Trust, Valappadi.

Cow rearing (dairy farmer) training

ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (EDP) Two trainings on renewable energy and solar lights in Kudiraiyarudam and Sirumalai were conducted. Tribe and other forest dwellers benefited in the training. Resource persons discussed ob importance of solar light in the hills and forest area. 17 more families were provided solar light for their lighting purposes. One solar unit is provided in children home, sirumalai. 300 girls and women belonging to saltpan worker community were motivated in RCH components such anemia, STD/RTI, sanitation and personnel hygiene and sexual life. 320 girls and women belonging to tribe community were counseled on health, hygienic and sanitation. Family to family visits and counseling took place. CONCLUSION: Hereby we are thanking to all donors, supporters and people those who are like minded and volunteer.

NOTES ON ACCOUNTS OF ROSI FOUNDATION

1. Significant Accounting Policies

Basis of preparation of financial statement The accounts are prepared on historical cost convention and comply with

the mandatory accounting standards issued by the institute on Chartered

Accounts of India.

Accounting Policies not specifically referred to otherwise be consistent and

in consonance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Fixed Assets and Depreciation Fixed Assets are stated at cost of acquisition or construction including directly attributable cost of bringing the asset to its working condition for intended use. Depreciation is provided on written down value method in

accordance with the rates prescribed in the income Tax Act, 1961. Video

show CD’s are written off over 2 years.

Inventories The Inventories are valued at cost or net realizable value whichever is lower

Revenue Recognition All income and expenditure items having a material bearing on the Financial

Statements are recognized on accrual basis excluding Government-Grants,

which are accounted on cash basis.

Foreign Currency Transactions Transactions in Foreign Currency are accounted at the exchange rate

prevailing on the date of realization.

2. Contingent Liabilities:

Bank Guarantee issued by the foundation: Rs. 24500/- Previous year’s

figures have been regrouped, recasted wherever necessary to confirm to

this year’s classification.
