Kindergarten Homework PolicyParents will be given information about what students are learning in class each week. Parents are encouraged to help their child practice the learning at home so that they can be prepared for upcoming assessments. Things to expect:

● The orange Blanton folder in the binder will be used for homework and announcements● Check homework folders daily, take out graded work, keep track of current assignments● Read to your child a minimum of 60 minutes each week, sign the reading log throughout the week● Assessments will take place on Fridays unless stated otherwise● Usually, the only type of homework that students will need to physically turn in will be some type

of fun project that they may have a couple weeks to work on

Students will have a 3 ring binder that will go home and come back to school with them every day. This will be used for their behavior calendar, homework folder,

parent/teacher communication page and a few other things. Parents/guardians are asked to go through this binder each night to look for homework and announcements and to sign the behavior calendar. Please remove graded school work and flyers so that the

binder does not become cluttered

Each teacher will give you a link and code to access these three learning platforms. Seesaw is where you will view and submit assignments. Google Meet is where students will be able to meet face to face with their teacher. Students will have access to their teacher’s Google Classroom in order to join the Google Meet video conference. Click on the picture below to access these websites. Teachers will be providing you with access codes so your student can login.

● All students need a mask every day● PK-3rd graders will all wear their masks while transitioning between

classrooms and when entering and exiting the building; wearing them in class is optional

● 4th-5th graders will wear masks all day, every day inside the building● No visitors allowed ● No lunch deliveries or lunch visitors● Kinder will enter and exit at the west side doors doors● If your child is in a sibling group they will enter and exit on the east side of the

building.
