ROOF-PRO support systems are designed to each individual roof structureutilising standard and bespoke designs to provide stability, weightdistribution and building clearance, ensuring your services are fully supportedwithout the need for penetrative design details to the waterproofing.

ROOF-PRO has extensive experience of working with specifiers and contractorson a range of projects, from refurbishment to new build. Consultation isavailable at design stage for best results, but can be conducted at various stagesof the build process with multiple disciplines to ensure objectives are achieved.

A COMPREHENSIVE ROOFTOP SUPPORT SOLUTION

At ROOF-PRO we have developed a number of support solutions covering all theareas of building services needs, each designed with ROOF-PRO specialistcomponents. The systems range includes:

• Supports for ladder and cable trays.

• Small to large pipe supports.

• Support systems for AHUs, heat pumps and chillers.

• Duct, attenuator and extract fan supports.

• Condenser supports, small splits, VRV and VRF.

• Access, step-overs, and maintenance platforms.

Pivot and threaded support base

ROOF-PRO understand the need forflexibility. Every hot dip galvanisedsupport frame is engineered to the specificrequirements of each project. Services can beeasily installed and even combined on ourframes which can adjust with the building’sneeds. Frames are prefabricated and qualitychecked before site delivery, ensuring thatinstallation is simple and quick.

For small/medium pipes and cable traysthe TAB support base offers a broadsupport. The extended base with twinthreaded uprights allows support topipes at finitely adjustable heights. TheTAB utilises a slotted bracket permittingthe quick and easy removal of the baseand studs during re-roofing.

COMPONENT FEATURES

A variety of ROOF-PRO support basesare strategically utilised with the supportframes to manage the load and provideservices maximum stability withoutmembrane penetration. The basesincorporate a pivot and threadedadjuster for roof clearance and on-siteadjustments, allowing services to sit trueon the roof gradient.

ROOF-P RO SY STEMSSUPPORTS FOR BUILDING SERVICES AND ACCESS EQUIPMENT

ROOF REFURBISHMENT MADE EASYROOF-PRO supports are quickly and simply positioned on the roof finish withoutpenetrating or damaging the membrane. Building services and equipment aresupported above the finished level of the roof providing clearance, whichfacilitates maintenance and re-roofing without expensive decommissioning ofbuilding services.

No penetrations to theroofing membrane. Facilitatesairtight roof design – nothermal bridging (Part L).

Height adjustable supports.

Pivot and threaded adjustmentto accommodate roof gradient.

Building clearance facilitatingaccess for roofingmaintenance.

Support leg can be detachedpermitting a stagedrefurbishment of the roofingmembrane.

No problems co-ordinatingroofing work activitiesProject management is morestraightforward because there is less needto co-ordinate different activities. Thelightweight nature of ROOF-PRO supports, and their independence from thewaterproof membrane, allow differenttrades to work in an autonomous way. Aflat roofing contractor can be presentedwith an uninterrupted area of roof. Nosubcontractor is required to form upstands. The M&E trades can access the roof whenit is finished to carry out their work.

Reliability and fastdeliveryWe realise how important it is to makesure systems are delivered on time. AtROOF-PRO, we go out of our way todevelop our operations so we can pullout all the stops when you need us to.Many of our products, includingcustomised frames, can be turnedaround quickly with our dedicatedproduction planning.

SustainabilityCurrent legislative and environmentaltrends call for greater environmentalaccountability in the design and use ofbuildings. The specification of theROOF-PRO System contributes towardsa sustainable building design.

• Non-penetrative – Facilitates airtightenvelope design and eliminates coldbridging (Part L).

• Life cycle – ROOF-PRO System isflexible, adjusting to the long termneeds of the roof and services.

• Increased roof service life –Elimination of vulnerable penetrationdetailing and the facilitation ofmembrane repair.

A risk-free solutionThe non-penetrative design of ROOF-PROavoids the risks of leaks that are oftenassociated with complex detailing atvulnerable junctions on the roof. Contractorsand designers can also have peace of mindthat the ROOF-PRO System is engineered byour design team with stability and weightdistribution as a primary principle.

Roof refurbishment madeeasyThe ROOF-PRO support systems allowaccess to the roof surface, makingrefurbishments and maintenanceefficient and simple. The support baseson our frames can be removedfollowing our method statements, allowing for re-roofing withoutinterruption to building services.

Design and programmingflexibilityBecause ROOF-PRO supports areindependent of the roof assembly, thereis no pressure for premature decisionmaking on the required positioning ofsupports. This allows mechanical andelectrical engineers to establish theirrequirements, and then for ROOF-PRO toprovide the support system that bestmeets these requirements.

Correlation of relevant designinformation permits a co-ordinatedproposal at tender stage that can berevised as the project evolves.

SMALL TO MEDIUMPIPES

MEDIUM TO LARGE PIPES

LARGE PIPES

For small to medium pipes the RP-PHsystem provides support via an adjustablecollar and threaded rods. The pipesuspension system enables pipe levels to befinitely adjusted on site so that the pipes canretain the required clearance regardless ofthe fall on the roof. The galvanised framesprovide the hanging system with a sturdyframework utilising a PACS adjuster orpivoting leg for frame height adjustments.

The TAB-P support system can be usedon site to support a run of lightweightpipes up to 50mm in diameter. The TABsystem supports pipes on an openchannel allowing for positioning of thepipe clips. The threaded adjuster on theTAB is adjustable to accommodate rooffalls, aiding the levelling of pipes.

The threaded upright supports areadjustable to accommodate roof falls, orshould a backfall be required for thepipework.

The RP-P-T system is designed toprovide flexible yet sturdy support formedium to large pipes. The systemprovides ample clearance for access tothe roofing membrane for re-roofingand maintenance. On the threadedsupports 80mm of thread should bevisible at the highest point of the roofto allow for subsequent re-roofing.

Bracing to supports can be provided byROOF-PRO where necessary.

For larger pipes, the RP-P-POD systemprovides a solid support for large pipes.Utilising the pivot bases and threadedadjusters the system of supports still hasthe flexibilty of the other ROOF-PROsystems whilst utilising channel beams forgreater stability. The system is flexibleenough to accommodate additional basesspreading the load over a greater area.

ROOF-PRO SYSTEMSSUPPORT FOR AIR HANDLING UNITS, HEAT PUMPS & CHILLERS

PERIMETER SUPPORTEDUNITS

MECHANICAL UNIT SUPPORT SOLUTIONSThe ROOF-PRO System provides a valuable service solution for plant equipment onflat roofs. Our ability to support some of the largest specialised units such as airhandling units, heat pumps and chillers means that expensive decommissioning ofservices can be prevented during future roof maintenance, resulting in economicalproject co-ordination and services maintenance.

The RP-CS-T supports are a simplesolution for supporting small mechanicalunits such as air handling units that havea wide and stable frame with a lowcentre of gravity. The supports arethreaded for on-site levelling, with a topplate for secure fixing to the corners andcentre positions. Bracing rods or box maybe utilised within the support system foradditional stability.

The RP-PF-T system supports plant thatrequires a broader support base to givegreater stability. The system works by aseries of connected frames withconnecting sliding beams (CSB) to giveflexibility for unit size. Typical equipmentthat may be supported on this frame areAHUs. The particular frame arrangementspreads the loads over a number ofbases.

For heavy units, a suitable supportsolution that works with the roof designis critical for distributing the servicesweight. The RP-POD-T utilises agalvanised steel pod arrangement, facilitating the distribution of the pointloads over four interconnected supportbases.

The POD frame is supported by theflexibility of the pivot and threadedadjusters which keep the equipment leveland clear from the roof surface.
