Introduction
• The rock cycle is an idealized cycle of processes undergone by rocks on the earths crust.
Sedimentary rocks
• Sedimentary rocks form when little grains of rock get super heated and are pressed together to make rock.
Igneous rocks
• Metamorphic rocks form when magma from volcanoes erupts and cools on the Earths surface. Depending on how fast the lava cooled is how big the crystals are.
Metamorphic rocks
• Metamorphic rocks form when other types of rocks undergo extreme heat, chemical changes or pressure.
• 1. Go to the hyper link at the bottom and do research on the rock cycle. Then make a slideshow/ movie in smart notebook explaining how the rock cycle works.

Big Task
Small Tasks
• 1. Find 5 types of sedimentary rocks and compare them in color and hardness
• 2. Find 5 types of metamorphic rocks and compare them in streak and density
• 3. find 5 types of igneous rocks and compare them in luster and cleavage
