The fast food lure starts early
Just outside the facilities at the State Fair housing cows, livestock, and other animals, flowers, vegetables and fruits, crafts and honey to which our youth are taken for an educational experience, are rows of
concessions hawking the following taste treats (list incomplete):
“Pizza, funnel cakes, candy apples, elephant ears, chili dogs, chocolate dipped fries, corn dogs, bbq beef sandwiches, onion rings, kettle corn dogs, caramel corn, sausages, steak sandwiches, rib eye steaks, cotton candy, stromboli, buffalo wings, fried pickles, country ham biscuits, tempura vegetables, fudge, saltwater taffy, deep fried oreos, and deep fried candy bars. If you want to wash these down, there are any number of sweetened drink concessions to accommodate you.”
