A BI-ANNUAL NEWSLETTER

The EEE Students’ Association for the Academic year 2015-16 was

initiated on 11th July 2015. The EEE Students’ Association was inaugurated

by Shri C. B Thamarai Selvan, Electrical Engineer, T.N.E.B., Chennai. The

following students were nominated for various posts. Mr. Adithya Ashok and

Ms. Indhumati.C of final year are the President and the Vice President respec-

tively. Mr. Sakthi Sharath of third year and Mr. Kabilan of second year are

nominated as the Secretary and Joint Secretary and Mr.Mohammed Rasulini

S. of third year and Mr. Silambarasan A. of second year as the treasurer and

joint treasurer. The executive members include Mr. Surender Singh V. of

third year , Mr. Lakshmikanth, Ms. Lavanya S., Ms. Mahalakshmi K. and

Ms. Renuka R. of the second year. The Association organizes the mini project

competition for the students of the department of EEE in every semester, the

National Level Technical Symposium ‘Opuzelek’ during the odd semester

and the National Conference on ‘Recent Trends in Power Systems, Power

Electronics and Control systems– NCRTPPC’ in the even semester.

The Third National Conference on “Recent Trends in Power Engineering, Power Electronics and

Control Systems” (NCRTPPC-2015) was conducted on 23rd February 2015. It was inaugurated by

the Chief Guest Dr. S. Saravana Kumar, Manager-Mechatronics and Control COE, Power train

(R&D), Mahindra Research Valley.

Prize winners of the mini project competition of the EEE Department

Inauguration of the third National Conference NCRTPPC-2015

The mini project competition for the students of Department of EEE was held on 14.02.2015. More than 15

projects were displayed.

The first prize was shared by Mr. Aditya Ashok of third year for the innovative idea of “Tesla Coil” and Mr.

Prasanna Venkatesh R., Mr. Sanjay V., and Mr. Sakthivel K., II Year for the project titled “Hand Gesture

Controlled Robotic Car (FC BOT)”.

Ms. Ravu Nikila Sai., Ms. Saranya Devi S., Ms. Sangeetha A, and Ms. Tamilkani R of II Year for the project

titled “Solar Powered Air Cooler and Charging Pump” won the Second Prize along with Ms. Sruthi N., Ms.

Faritha K., and Ms. Priyadharshini P of III Year for the project titled “Security Systems for Motion Sensor”.

Chevvanthi J. V., of II year won Bronze medal in basket ball, Bronze medal in 4X100 meters,

In the Intramural competitions Chevvanthi J. V., won the 2nd place in 100meters, 3rd place in

200 meters, 3rd place in long jump, 3rd place in triple jump and 3rd place in shot put.

Jayalakshmi A., of III year won Bronze medal in basket ball, Bronze medal in 4X100 meters,

Bronze medal in 4X400 meters, Bronze medal in 400 meters in the zonal level meet.

Chitra R. N. of III year won Bronze medal in basket ball in the zonal level meet. In the Intramural

competitions, she won Runners up in Badminton Doubles.

Soundraya U., of III year Bronze medal in basket ball in the zonal level meet.

Kishore V. of IV year won the Gold Medal in All India open judo, Gold medal in All India doja as-

sociation, silver medal in National kata and Bronze medal in All India open karate champion-

ship.

Jayalakshmi A. of III Year won the Individual Championship for Girls in the Annual Sports Meet

held in RMKCET.
