DECEMBER 7, 2019 PROGRAM
Come and join our annual Holiday Party for friend-ship, remembrances, fun, good food and entertain-ment. We will remember good friends who we have lost this year. We will honor our valuable and priceless volunteers who run the office and the monthly meetings; provide the newsletter; present us with day and extended tours to places and events we would not otherwise have gone; run our other projects including Tax Aide, the pennies and tabs for the Ronald MacDonald House, and food for the Janet Goeske Pantry; and who have served as officers and on the board of directors. We will also hold an election for the officers and directors for
the upcoming year (the slate to be voted on is on page 3) In addition to chances on the gift baskets and gift cards, we will again be entertained by the fabulous Mission Belles.
JANUARY 2020 PROGRAM
Since we have no meeting in January 2020, we will not have a program. But just wait until February when you will be astounded by those you are hear-ing.

Dear Members,
Time has simply flown by this year. I have truly enjoyed being President of AARP Riverside Chapter 237. I have loved meeting and eating with many of you at our Restaurant Fundraisers where we earned a little over $1000 which will help toward financing special chapter doings. I am astounded at your generosity with our monthly Donation Highlights. We donated pennies (several times) for Ronald McDonald House, canned goods, non-perishables and toiletries for JGF Pantry to help local seniors in need, books for young children through AAUW, school supplies for four local elementary schools, towels and supplies for Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption and socks, coats & warm clothes for Calvary Closet! I have also enjoyed visiting with you on many tours this year. My favorites were Mama Mia, Cirque De So-leil, Noah’s Ark, Pageant of Our Lord, Pageant of the Masters, Wheel of Fortune and soon I’m leaving for a Pigeon Forge Holiday! What were your favorites? I appreciate and THANK our tour escorts, Mollie Johnson and Beth Richards, for all the work they did to pull these tours together for us! Please members, do your part and join us on these tours! I must also THANK the office staff, who I made promise that they would continue doing all the things they do while I was President. They are really the people that are currently keeping this Chapter running in the efficient manner that it has for 56 years. They do so many things, that I am afraid to list them least I forget any one important job. THANK you... Nancy Lane, Peggy Cook, Alice Ehlers and Rick Hill for your support! I THANK Barbara Purvis for all the educational information and wonderful entertainment programs she scheduled for our monthly meetings. I THANK the volunteers who help us at our monthly General

These horses serve a therapeutic service for physical, mental and emotional health for disabled children and adults. They learn to not only ride but this helps their disabling conditions. The rhythmic motion and warmth of the horse stimulates and exer-cises the rider’s muscles, increasing mobility of the pelvis, hip and spine. The rider experiences weight shift and trunk mobility as if he/she were walking on his/her own. What a wonderful experience to see.
