Accident 1-5

What to do if someone is injured

Using an axe in the production of the trailer

Someone could get injured.

Ensure that someone takes great care of the axe at all times

The axe must not be swung at anyone at any time.

3 5 Seek medical assistance immediately, i.e. ring 999.

Driving a car The passengers and the driver could get injured if there is a crash.

Make sure the driver holds a full licence.

Ensure the characters do not distract the driver in any way to make the driver crash.

Make sure all air bags are working in case of a crash.

2 5 Seek medical assistance immediately.

Driving a car The car could break down.

Ensure there is enough petrol, water and oil in the car so that it doesn’t actually break down (although it is intended in the trailer).

3 3 No one would be injured if the car breaks down, although someone would need to be phoned so that they can bring petrol so that the car can be driven again.

Antagonist walking around with no shoes on

The person could get glass/other debris in their foot.

Check the tracks for any glass/other debris before the person walks with bare-foot.

Clear away any pieces of broken glass etc on the floor which may be trod onto.

3 4 Put the wound (with the glass in) under running water and try to get the piece of glass out.

Perhaps seek medical assistance if the glass does not come out.

Tying up protagonist’s with rope

The person’s blood flow could be interrupted if the rope is tied too tightly.

Ensure the rope is not tied too tightly and that there is a gap for it to be cut of if necessary.

Ensure that the

1 3 Cut the rope off immediately using a pair of scissors or perhaps a knife if the rope is too tough.

person tying the rope makes sure that the rope doesn’t feel too tight on them.

Using a knife in the trailer

Someone could get stabbed if the knife is dropped.

Ensure that the person holding the knife has a tight-grip.

Make sure the person holding the knife isn’t actually too close to the person in case it is dropped.

Use a fake knife.

2 4 Seek medical assistance immediately if someone is injured.

Do not take the knife out of the wound.

Using a knife in the trailer

Someone could get cut from the knife.

Make sure the knife is handled with care at all times.

Ensure the knife is never pointed upwards so that it could cut someone.

2 3 Run the cut under cold running water immediately until all blood is cleared.

Seek medical assistance if the wound is open.

Smoking in places which are prohibited

Everyone could get injured. For example, smoking around gas could set the whole place alight, and it is also against the law.

Make sure that smoking is allowed in the area before doing so.

0 5 Seek medical assistance immediately.

Ensure everyone gets away from the fumes/fire if one occurs.

Team games Someone could fall over and injure themselves, i.e. pull a muscle, break a bone, cut themselves.

Ensure the area where playing/running is clear from any glass that could cut the person. If they fell

Make sure that the people are not playing too strenuous/too physical so that not everyone can take part.

1 3 Seek medical assistance immediately if a bone is thought to be broken/sprained/pulled- also stretch muscle if pulled.

If cut, put it under cold running water until all blood is cleared and take out any debris, such as glass/tin.
