With the many unwanted things happening in the world today, we wanted you to know that Highland Park works to provide a safe place where all our children can grow spiritually, socially, physically, and mentally. We are constantly updating our safety procedures. As you know, all of our outer doors are locked at all times during school, after-school care, and summer camp. We have cameras recording 24 hour surveillance of the entire church campus. All of our staff and volunteers have had extensive background checks and receive ongoing Safe Sanctuary training. Teachers keep their doors open and we enforce the “two-adult” rule everywhere (including bus transportation for ASC). We have regular fire drills, what to do for intruders and emergency medical training for accidents. We hold the safety of our children to the highest standards, while at the same time providing a place where they do not feel afraid of the world around them. We appreciate your trust with your children’s care. If you have any concerns about this (or any other area of your child’s growth and well-being) do not hesitate to contact Beth Prosser or me. Pastor Mike Dear Parents, We are rapidly approaching the end of a fabulous school year! Teachers and students are already “counting down” to summer…36 more school days! I hope your time this year at HPK has been as good as mine. Thank you all for your prayers, gifts, and service to this wonderful outreach ministry of Highland Park. God Bless you and your family, Beth Prosser
