Upgrading Biogas to RNG
Biogas is produced from the anaerobic digestion of organic waste matter
Remove impurities to produce RNG for use as CNG vehicle fuel or pipeline injection.
What is Biogas & Biomethane (RNG)?
BiogasMixture of gases produced by the break down of organic matter in an oxygen free environment
CH4: ~60 %
CO2: ~39 %
N2+O2: < 1%
H2S: 50 – 5,000 ppm
H2O: Saturated
Siloxanes: Trace
Biomethane (RNG)Upgraded biogas that is interchangeable with natural gas
CH4: > 96 %
CO2: ~1 %
O2: < 0.4 %
Total inerts: < 4 %
H2S: < 1 ppm
H2O: < 1 ppm
Siloxanes: < 1 ppm
A technology independent company• Greenlane is evolving from being just a waster wash
supplier to becoming a technology independent solution provider. Some of the technologies we offer include:
Membranes PSA Water Wash
Modular Solutions
• Biogas Blower• Water Scrubber• VPSA• Biomethane
Compressor• Regenerative
Thermal Oxidizer• Flares
A BC Success Story
Greenlane helps Surrey produce RNG
in BC

Surrey Biofuels Facility
Project Site
• Source Separated Organics Facility in Surrey BC
Objective
• Close the loop on the city – reduce/recover organic waste
Process
• Produce biogas using anaerobic digesters to break down organic waste.
• Upgrade biogas to RNG using Greenlane system• Recover CO2 to use as part of the process.
RNG Use
• Inject into FortisBC pipeline & fuel CNG vehicles.

Turn Key Solution
Innovation – CO2 RecoveryIntegrating Water-wash and
VPSA Technology
• CO2 recovery VPSA
• Landfill Gas VPSA
• Rule 30 VPSA
• Integrated Solution
• Standardized Designs paired with Water Scrubbers
Greenlane Water Wash Overview1. Biogas compressed & fed to scrubber to remove impurities
4. Clean gas purified for customer delivery3. Methane not recovered in
scrubbing stage gets “flashed off” and recovered
2. Biogas showered with water, CH4 passes through and impurities trapped in water
Greenlane System Benefits
Proven• 90+ installations• 20+ Years of experience• Largest Upgrading Facilities in
the World• Injects into Fortis Pipeline since
2010.
Simple & Robust• Water, no chemicals• Reliable & high availability (>95%)• Sales Gas always available,
process not susceptible to H2S
High Purity RNG• > 97% biomethane• N2 and O2 removal. CO2
recovery.• > 98% methane recovery• Vehicle fuel or pipeline injection• Able to meet California’s Rule 30
Cost-Effective and Local• Standardized units• Energy efficient• Low operating costs• Heat Recovery• No proprietary media, just water!• Local support and service.
