Another Strong Year Expected in 2014
• Nearly 7.4 GW of solar installations in 2014– 6.5 GW Photovoltaics– 850 MW Concentrating Solar Power– 42% growth over last year– A new installation every 2.5 minutes
• Growth led by continued fall in prices– Q2 2014 prices down 9% from last year; 53% from 2010
• By years end, over 20 GW of solar in U.S.– Enough to power 4 million+ homes– Displace CO2 equivalent to 6 coal power plants,
emissions from 4.8 million vehicles

Bringing Solar to More Communities
• Securitization; new funding pools– opening up markets to new levels of creditworthiness
• Community Solar– Providing opportunities for non-traditional customers
• Group Discount/Solarize Programs– Lowering costs through scale
• SEIA work with Executive Branch– Ensuring banks have incentive to provide financing for solar
installations in low income communities– Encouraging solar deployment on public housing– Continued work to lower soft costs and other barriers to more
affordable solar deployment
