• W3Travel is a competence center between Amadeus and MBDS, for the development of wireless services around the Amadeus booking engine;
• W3Travel projects: wireless services for business travelers, available from mobile devices (PDA, mobile phones…);
• W3Travel 2004: common project between Amadeus, Oracle and MBDS; portal of map-based services, available from devices such as mobile phones or PDA, over wireless networks (Wi-Fi, GPRS…) and using the RFID technology; server-side architecture and RFID API provided by Oracle.

The project was demonstrated in Cannes, during the 3GSM 2002, on Intel and Oracle boats and on the Opteway booth.

The project was demonstrated in Nice Airport, during the 3GSM slot (3rd week of February 2003). At this time, the Nice airport was a first WiFi-equiped airport in France.
