Savings Bank Accounting System (JUN-1997 – FEB-1998)


Description: This banking software system designed to facilitate efficient and user-friendly banking procedures. System contains master, transactions and reporting modules and keeps track of the details of the account holders and their current balances are updated as per the transactions conducted by the clients. It also keeps track of the transactions made by the account holder, and the updating of the current balance in the savings bank master file. This package also processes the standing instruction data given by the account holder, thereby debiting/crediting is done automatically. It also deals with the generation of the reports that are categorized as daily, monthly and half-yearly reports.

Key Responsibilities: Conducted comprehensive gap analysis to identify system specifications and requirements in terms of hardware, software and infrastructure as part of comprehensive


analysis. Subsequently designed user screens and program structure. Developed database triggers, and tested the programs for thorough checking of errors and further optimization. Automation of Gold Loans Accounting System (APR-1996 to JUN-1997) Description: This system developed to automate loans issuing processes in the bank developed on Oracle 7.0 and Developer 2000 front-end tool. This project has four Modules, namely Master, Transactions, and Enquiry Module & Reports.


Key Responsibilities: Studied the entire business process of the loans department of the bank. Data Flow diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams were prepared to facilitate the system design. Analyzed the current manual methods of working and suggested specifications for the design and usage of the proposed system. Designed the database tables and other related objects, implemented the triggers to ensure database integrity and tested them for accuracy and optimization. Successfully deployed the system at multiple places. Deployment included setting up of hardware at various locations and training of the end-users.

Automation of Share Accounting System (MAY-1995 – APR-1996)Description: A system developed to automate Share Accounting System in the bank, developed on FoxPro 2.6. This system consists of a list of shareholders, application schedules, mailing list,


share certificates, etc. Generation of dividend warrants is done once a year, which calculates dividend accordingly. Various types of reports are generated, some of which include statement of balances, priority sector statements.
