• Seawater desalination is an IDEAL solution (70% of earth’s surface is oceans) but is an extremely energy intensive process

• The alternative solution, diesel driven desalination, is expensive and environmentally unsound

Camp Rilea Project Overview
A wave-driven Wave2ETM (electricity producing) & Wave2O
TM (fresh water
producing) demonstration project at Camp Rilea Oregon starting in Q3
or Q4 2015 and lasting for one year pursuant to a U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers Nationwide Permit. Note: Pacific Energy Ventures is advising
RME on regulatory/permitting matters
Two SurgeWECTM wave energy converters will power two containerized
water and electricity production systems
- Wave2ETM rated capacity = 30 kW;
- Wave2OTM rated capacity = 500 m3/day (132,000 gallons)
Low Environmental Impact
- Systems driven by pressurized seawater and fresh water;
- No chemicals used in the SWRO system;
- Brine concentrate is fully diluted before discharge;
- No mooring lines or other components that may endanger wildlife
