INFORMATION
INTRODUCTION
This report provides information on degree and certificate programs offered and student programcompletions for fiscal year 1999-2000 in North Dakota's public and private postsecondaryeducational institutions.
Institutional programs are coded in accordance with the Classification of Instructional Programs(CIP Code) system provided by the National Center for Education Statistics branch of the UnitedStates Department of Education. To assist readers, programs have been organized by level ofoffering: certificate, diploma, associate, bachelor, and graduate. Information included wasprovided by registrars at each institution.
Individuals desiring additional program information about vocational-technical programs shouldcheck the directory published by the State Board for Vocational Education. Students desiringinformation about institutional tuition, fees, room and board rates, and financial aid shouldcontact the institution's admissions office directly. Much information on North DakotaUniversity System campuses is now available through the System web site:http: / /www.ndus.nodak.edu
DEFINITIONS
Program Completed
A completed program is one in which the individual has met all of the requirements to obtain adegree or certificate in that field of study. This number may vary slightly from other publicationsthat report degrees granted since one person may complete two programs yet receive only onedegree. This-publication reports all programs completed.
Education Codes
CIP Codes with a "13" prefix indicate a program in education. Individuals looking for educationprograms should look under the "13" code.
In the Programs Offered by CIP Code section, an "X" indicates that program is offered. In theStudent Program Completions sections, a "0" indicates the program is offered, but had nograduates that year.

(1) Per credit hour for less than 12 hours per semester, except at BSC (see footnote 6).(2) Other living arrangements such as married and family housing, hi-rises, mobile home parks, and 3-4 person apartments are also available on the campuses.(3) The rates listed for BSC and MiSU represent the average single and double room rates of the dormitories. These campuses charge different rates for different
dormitories.(4) Based on 16 credit hours per semester.(5) Includes $854 notebook computer fee at MaSU and VCSU.(6) Effective Fall 2000, BSC will charge the per credit (part-time) tuition rate for all credit hours except for the 14th and 15th credits, which are at no charge. Fees are capped
at 13 credit hours per semester.
