(10) PPA has been signed for purchase of 450 MW power with effect from July, 2014 under Case - I Long Term. (11) PPA has been signed for purchase of 560 MW power from Nov. 2015 under Case - I Long Term. (12) PPA signed for purchase of 3 MW power from M/S Glatt Solution Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, producer of Solar Power in Nawada.

A. Commitment Fulfilled

Overhead conductors replaced with underground cable in Electric Supply Division, New Capital in PESU Area.

(15) Board has received Rs. 8.56 Crores on disposal of old and scrap materials at different areas of Board. Out of that disposal of scrap materials is under progress for BTPS Unit 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 and Karbigahia Thermal Power Plant.

(16) Help Line No. 9430807821 is working in Board for addressing the issues concerned with Electricity Bill & replacement of distribution transformer.

(17) Electricity Board has provided Total 3,50,000 new connections by conducting Special Camp.

(18) District-wise power is being given during specified period to fight the severe drought in the State.

(19) Survey work of dedicated feeder to provide power for Agricultural purposes under Rainbow Revolution of "Agriculture Road Map" is in progress. Patna District has been selected as Pilot Project. Survey work of Naubatpur Block of Patna District completed.

(20) Provision of Multi mode option for Payment of Energy Bill of consumers through ATM, Sahaj Vasudha Kendra, ATP Machine and Net Banking.

Monthly Bills are available/uploaded on Board's website www.bseb.bih.nic.in for convenience of consumers

(22) Arrangement of Spot Billing in all the Electric Supply Divisions of PESU.

(23) Extensive campaign started in the premises of damaged meter consumers and un-metered consumers for installation/replacement of meters.

(24) Work of land acquisition under progress for tariff based competitive bidding Case-II Projects, Kajra, Pirpainti & Chausa (each 2x660 MW TPP). The process of transfer of proposed plant to be installed at Chausa & Kajra each of 2x660 MW capacity to

M/s Sutlaj Jal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. and M/s NHPC Ltd. is under progress. 85% of total generation of these two projects will be available to State of Bihar.

3. New Policies :

* Proposal for restructuring of Bihar State Electricity Board in

Five companies such as one Holding Company, One Generation Company, One Transmission Company and Two Distribution Companies for improvement in Energy Sector of State has been approved by Cabinet. The transfer scheme is being finalized.

* Appointment of Urban Franchisee has been restarted to

provide better electric supply and services to the Urban Consumers of Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya & Muzaffarpur.

Department : Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency (BREDA)

(1) In the 1st Phase of Pilot Project in the Bihar Solar Revolution Irrigation Scheme, installation of 560 Nos. of 2 HP 1800 W Solar Pump in 10 Blocks of 5 Districts is proposed in Plan Year 2012-13.

(2) To provide electricity facility in groups of 2-3 villages Biomass Gasifire has been installed from which 5.87 MW electricity is generated. 50 Biomass Gasifire have been installed under P.P.

Mode at different locations for 2-3 villages by the Institutions through which Rural People are getting electricity facility.

(3) 50 nos. Solar Street Light installed in the Tharu dominated villages of West Champaran under Tharu Development Programme.

(4) 75 nos. Solar Street light installed under Archaeological Department in Vikramshila Excavation site in Kahalgaon, Bhagalpur.

(5) 292 nos. Biogas Plants installed in different districts under National Development Programme by State Government.

(6) Work of Energy Audit completed in 16 buildings including Raj Bhawan, Secretariat Buildings, Assembly Building, Shri Krishna Science Centre and Udyog Bhawan under Energy Conservation Programme.

(7) 1000 Nos. solar domestic light distributed in districts by State Government under State Plan.

(8) Other important achievements: 1- REC Certificate

2- FRFMS 3- Internet Platform BREIP is being developed

4; Energy Audit of Govt. Buildings are being done under IGEA.

BIHAR STATE HYDROELECTRIC POWER CORPORATION:

The following important works have been done in the financial

year 2011-12 by Bihar State Hydroelectric Power Corporation:

1. By making management improvement in operational projects of

the Corporation, more power is being generated. After making

some more improvements, power could be generated as per the

capacity of the projects.

2. Two Mini Hydroelectric Power Projects at Belsar (2x50MW) in

Aurangabad District and Arwal (1x0.5MW) in Arwal District have

been commissioned.

3. The construction work of Dehra and Sipha Projects (2 MW)

situated at Patna Canal is under progress.

4. The Renovation work of Kataiya Hydroelectric Project (19.2 MW)

under Supaul District has been started.

5. Loan from NABARD has been sanctioned for construction of

Ararghat (4x1.75 MW) Hydroelectric Project under Madhepura

District. The construction work is being started.

6. Revised Detailed Project Report of Dagmara (130 MW)

Hyderoelectric Project under Supaul District was sent to CEA and

CWC for its approval. The sanction of the project is in final stage.

7. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran (DDG) Yojna, a total

no. of 820 villages have to be energized. Out of which 48 villages

have been approved by the Govt. of India. Tender has already

been invited for electrification of above 48 villages. Beside this,

DPR for 148 villages has been submitted for its approval.

8. The survey work of Mahananda, Budhi Gandak and associated

rivers has been completed. 350 MW power from these rivers has

been estimated till date.
