Every child not attending a Catholic School should be regis- tered for Religious Education Classes. We offer CONTINU- ING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION for all grade levels from Ele- mentary to Jr. High. These classes are to enrich these young peo- ple in the knowledge of their Catholic Christian Faith at their grade level and to enable them to practice it in their daily lives. Fees are as follow: $80 for one child $100 for 2 siblings $125 for 3 siblings Registration must be submitted before June 26 th , 2013. Bring your child's baptism certificate. Why can't we dress more appropriately when we go to Church?
It is the house of God. It is a Holy Place. It is but proper to dress modestly while we are in a place of worship. Dressed
inappropriately, we can be a distraction to others.
Why do we follow the “dress code" when we go to a mu-seum, a library or some high -end dining place, BUT forget
our own “dress code” when we are in Church?
Shorts. Flip-flops. Spaghetti straps. Sleeveless. Mini skirts. Very tight clothing. Plunging necklines. Bare backs: Why can't we choose the proper attire for even just the time we
attend the Holy Mass?
Do we need to be provided with shawls, as other Parishes do, for women who are scantily-clothed, especially when
receiving HOLY COMMUNION?
Why do we forget that we, boys and girls, men and women, young and old alike, must receive our Lord with the utmost
respect? Why do brides and even her entourage forget that a wedding
is not an occasion to showcase fashion trends but rather a BLESSED occasion of receiving a SACRAMENT of love?
Why do we continue to sit back, and allow ourselves to be silent spectators or even participants in this show of disre-
spect and insensitivity to what is acceptable church decorum?
As parishioners, together with our priests and parish organizations, let us make a firm stand towards PROPER
DRESSING AND CHURCH DECORUM.
We can make the difference, if we begin with ourselves, our family, our co-workers and friends.
WHY CAN’T WE BEGIN TODAY?
¿Por que no nos vestimos mas apropiadamente cuando vamos a la Iglesia?
Es la casa de Dios. Es un Lugar Santo. No es más que adecuado para vestir modestamente mientras estamos en un
lugar Santo. Vestido inadecuadamente, puede ser una distracción para los demás.
¿Por que seguir el “código de vestimenta", cuando vamos a un museo, una biblioteca o una cena elegante, PERO se nos
olvida de nuestro propio “código de vertimiento” cuando estamos en la Iglesia?
Pantalón corto. Sandalias. Blusas de tirante o sin mangas. Mini faldas. Ropa muy apretada. Escotes profundos.
Espaldas descubiertas: ¿por que no podemos elegir ropa más adecuada para el tiempo que asistan a la SANTA MISA?
¿Necesario proveerlas con chales como lo hacen otras parroquias, para las mujeres que están escasamente vestidas,
sobre todo cuando reciben la SAGRADA COMUNION?
Por que olvidamos que nosotros, niños y niñas, hombres y mujeres, jóvenes y viejos por igual, deben recibir al SEÑOR
CON EL MAXIMO RESPETO?
¿Por qué a las novias e incluso sus damas se olvidan que una boda no es una ocasión para mostrar la moda, sino más
bien una ocasión BENDITA de recibir un SACRAMENTO de amor?
¿Por que seguimos sentados, y nos permitimos ser espectadores silenciosos e incluso participantes de esta muestra de falta de respeto y insensibilidad a lo que es
aceptable en la iglesia?
Como feligreses, juntos con nuestros sacerdotes y organizaciones parroquiales, vamos a oponer resistencia
firme con respecto a VESTIRNOS ADECUADOS Y FORMAL EN LA IGLESIA.
Podemos hacer la diferencia, si comenzamos con nosotros mismos, nuestra familia, nuestros compañeros de trabajo y
amigos. ¿POR QUE NO PODEMOS COMENZAR HOY?

Playing It Safe When the Heat Is On
The hottest months of summer are here, and many chil-dren will be playing sports and participating in other activities outdoors. Make sure their summer camp supervisors and coaches know how to
recognize and properly treat the signs of heat-related problems in children, including confusion; dilated pupils; dizziness; faint-ing; headache; heavy perspiration; nausea; pale and moist or hot, dry skin; weak pulse; and weakness. Every summer sports program for children should have rules for playing it safe when the heat is on.
