� One of Ratermann Manufacturing’sArctic Fox® tank, a highly functionalmicro-bulk tank that holds cryogenicgases such as liquid nitrogen. The Arctic Fox tank comes in 2,000, 3,000,and 6,000 liter sizes and is built toRatermann Manufacturing’s specifica-tion. Key features include a heavy dutygalvanized pallet base, safe and easyaccess control valves, lifting lugs, content gauges, complete valve isolation package, and a high-qualitymirror finish. The most unique featureis the top and bottom fill. This distinc-tive feature allows operators with alarge cryogenic transport trailer to fillthe Arctic Fox tank without stoppingproduction, saving money and increas-ing efficiency. Numerous companies relyon Ratermann Manufacturing Arctic

Fox tanks to keep their business run-ning smoothly.

� Cryogenic tanks are typically filledfrom the top using the blow downmethod. The blow down method iswhen the pressure of the tank is reduced by blowing out the head pressure of the tank in order to fill it.Blowing down a tank wastes productand in turn costs money. Top filling also requires taking the tank offline orto not be used while it is being filledbecause the tank cant keep pressure,which causes the customer using thetank to shut down and stop their operation during filling.

� However, the Arctic Fox tank enables the user to simultaneously fillfrom the top and bottom, eliminating

the need to use the less efficient blowdown method. The bottom fill methodkeeps the pressure up, allowing theuser to keep their equipment onlineand keeping their operation runningsince the Arctic Fox maintains the required pressure to keep operating.The top and bottom filling methoddoes not require a tank to be blowndown and therefore prevents loss ofproduct during the filling process.

� For customers such as laser cuttingfacilities that use nitrogen gas in theirmachines to cut metal products, theArctic Fox tank is invaluable as it permits operations and production toflow smoothly throughout the entirefilling process. Because the top andbottom fill capability maintains the necessary pressure levels during the


filling process, the user can continueproduction without halting the use ofthe gas. This ensures a seamless fillingperiod for the customer unlike theprocess required by other tanks thatrely on the top fill method.

� Additionally, the Arctic Fox tankfeatures different hookup options. Thisflexibility allows multiple types of trucksto connect to fill the tank, includingconventional micro bulk trucks with astandard cryogenic hose and those withan inch and a half bulk hose. This way,users aren’t limited in what kind oftrucks they can use to fill their tanks.

� Throughout the entire process, theoperator has complete control over thepressure of the Arctic Fox tank. Withtop and bottom filling capability, fillingis much faster than any other method.And users can complete rapid tank fills without the use of specialized proprietary pumping equipment. TheArctic Fox tank was designed for fillingto be a seamless and efficient process.
