ielab is a company engaged to provide services and products

for the application of quality in testing laboratories, that offers

the organization of Proficiency Testing Schemes on international

basis or the manufacturing and sale of physical-chemical and

microbiological reference materials, among others.

The present catalogue is the result of the work that has been

developed by our R+D+i Department and our Quality Department,

that have as reference the quality, the independence and to

give answer to the technological necessities that are arising in

the exercise of our work. They also have given responses to

the necessities that the application of the quality required and

which until then did not exist.

It is for the reason of this constant process of research, innovation

and application to the quality that this catalogue is something

dynamic and in a continuous change, it is a reflection of our

offer only the day in which it was published.

In addition, many of our materials are certified in the process

of Proficiency Testing Schemes, reason why new materials with

each closed round are included, becoming an updated catalogue

impossible.

For that reason we invite you to visit our Web page

(http://www.ielab.es) where you can find our latest catalogue

and diverse information that sure will be of your interest.

Trusting that our cooperation can contribute to the continuous

improvement of the quality of your laboratory, we hope to count

on your visit.

Physical-chemicalreference material

ielab presents a wide range of reference materials that have been speciallydesigned to make easy all the quality control tasks accomplished in diagnosticlaboratories. All the supplied material comes accompanied by the corresponding Certificateof Analysis and User Guide.

Properties of the physical-chemical reference material

The ielab reference materials are obtained through Proficiency Testing Schemesaccredited by the Spanish National Accreditation Body (ENAC), in which a greatnumber of national and international laboratories take part. Each of these laboratories that are participating in Proficiency Testing Schemeshave different working methodologies, which gives very robust results. For the production of these materials, the standards established in the ISO GUIDE34 and in the guide ILAC-G -12:2000, which indicate the general requirementsfor all the reference materials producers, are followed. The greatest part of the provided material is of natural origin and with analyteconcentration levels similar to real samples that are performed in laboratories.Necessary homogeneity and stability tests are made to these materials to calculatethe property value according to the ISO GUIDE 35.

The certificate that accompanies the material fulfils the established requirementsof the ISO GUIDE 31 and UNE 82131:2003 IN including the correspondinghomogeneity and stability studies, the statistical study of results and theconcentration and uncertainties of the provided materials.

Advantages of the physical-chemical reference material

Quality guarantee: For its production the standards established in the ISO GUIDE34 are followed, statistical criteria defined in the ISO GUIDE 35 have been usedto obtain the property value and the certificate fulfills the ISO GUIDE 31.

Natural: The greatest part of the provided materials are of NATURAL ORIGIN,allowing to reproduce customary testing conditions.

Stable: The stability of the samples is proven according to the established underthe standard ISO 13528:2005, being analyzed by a method accredited under thestandard EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Homogeneous: Statistical studies are carried out of the variability, as it is establishedin the ISO GUIDE 35 and according to the IUPAC protocol, being analyzed by amethod accredited under the standard EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Flexible: Materials for various matrixes and with many different parameters areavailable.

Microbiologicalreference material

ielab presents, within the framework of its line of products for microbiological

diagnostics, a new range of reference materials, which have been specially

designed to facilitate all stages of quality control performed in diagnostic

laboratories.

Properties of the microbiological reference material

The ielab microbiological reference materials are quantified by certification tests

performed by seven laboratories accredited by ENAC (Spanish National

Accreditation Body) according to the norm EN ISO/IEC 17025.

For the production of these materials, the established under the ISO GUIDE 34

and the guide ILAC-G -12:2000 are followed. These indicate the general

requirements for all the producers of reference materials.

All supplied material include a Quick User Guide and the corresponding Certificate

of Analysis.

Advantages of the microbiological reference material

Simple: The preparation of the material is extremely simple, as the presentation

is in tablet form (except for BACuanti-DNA) and is supplied in an easy-to-use

sterile plastic device, or in individual vials, avoiding the need of multiple

manipulations.

Quick: It takes only 3 steps and 10 minutes to have ready bacterial suspensions

of a known count.

Easy storage: In a conventional freezer.

Safe: There is no risk of contamination, as manipulation is reduced to the minimum.

Traceable: The used strains are traceable to different Type Culture Collections

and bearing less than two subcultures from the original strain.

Known concentration: The existing concentration of the material is certified.

Flexible: There are different formats for diverse microorganisms, and are available

in two concentration ranges: low concentration and high concentration.

Service: Apart from the species available from stock, there is the possibility of

preparing reference material for other microorganisms at a concentration predefined

by the client.
