How

Does

IDC Work?

Question?

A: The wire anvil guides and forces the insulated wire into the slot of a metal contact. This action displaces the insulation at the contact points and the spring properties of the contact grip the conductor of the wire.

Test:

Termination of 100 multi-stranded 16 AWG wires, including cutting, stripping and crimping ferrules (for ferrule version only) but excluding labeling and forming of wires.

The screws were already backed off in the screw terminals.
