MINUTES OF FIRST EXECUTIVE MEETING

Minutes of first executive committee meeting of Rajasthan Economic Association held

on 6th

March, 2010 at M V Shramjeevi College, Udaipur.

The meeting held on 6th

March 2010 at M V Shramjeevi College, Udaipur which

was presided over by Prof. K. D. Swami (REA) President of Association, following

members were present.

1. The dates for 31st conference of the Association were finalized as 8, 9 & 10thJan 2011, at JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Udaipur.

2. After rigorous discussion in meeting executive committee the followingthemes have been finalized for forth coming conference of the Association:-

(i) Economics of Environment: Candidates may choose topics on climaticchange, global warming, green accounting and externalities in public

goods.

(ii)Budget Deficit, Inflation and Growth in India.

(iii)Various facets of Economy of Rajasthan: Present State & Prospects-agriculture, industry, power, health, education, planning, finance,

service sector, tourism etc.

(iv)Inter-Generational Economics.3. It was suggested that a National Seminar may be organized on theme (ii)

during the conference. Secretary of REA Dr Suman Pamecha was authorized

to invite papers on the above themes by the members of the Association.

Additional funds may be raised for this National Seminar either through UGC

or any other sponsors.

4. The list of new executive committee of REA to be sent to IEA.5. Prof. M. K. Gadoliya, chief Editor REA was given the responsibility of

publication of REA Journal on behalf of the Rajasthan Economic Association.

6. The rate of advertisement to be published in the journal were fixed as givenbelow:

Back Cover Page Rs. 10,000.00

Inner First Page Rs. 7000.00

All other full pages Rs. 5000.00

All advertisement shall be accepted only from Banks and Educational

institutions. Advertisement from any coaching institute shall not be

entertained.

7. Few advertisements of other journals may be considered on complimentarybasis.

8. Efforts should be made to enroll more and more life members of theAssociation.

9. The membership fee was revised in General body meeting held at Kota on11/01/2010 and the same was approved by the executive committee.

Life Member: Rs. 2000.00

Ordinary Annual: Rs. 500.00

Research Scholar: Rs. 400.00

Student: Rs. 200.00Corporate : Rs. 20000.00

10.The membership fee should be paid either by cash or account payee chequeor Demand Draft in favour of Rajasthan Economic Association, Udaipur.

11.An individual member shall be eligible for voting provided He/ she has been amember for at least two consecutive years i.e. during the current and

preceding year. The membership for the current year shall be received latest

by 1st

December 2010.

12.The annual rent of the Web Site (www.rajeconomic.com ) of the Associationwill be paid by the Association. It was also decided in the meeting that the

existing website of REA should be updated time to time; photos of newexecutive committee should be sent to Prof. M. K. Gadoliya, Kota.

13.Meeting was adjourned with vote of thanks to chair. These minutes may alsobe treated as first official circular of 31

stconference of REA.
