Project Experience: Design of an Arterial Line Insertion Simulator WPI/UMass Medical School, August 2011-April 2012 Major qualifying project (MQP) in which a radial arterial line simulator was designed and constructed. The simulator had pulsatile flow and was capable of arterial puncture and catheterization. Transgenic Animals WPI, May 2011-October 2011 Interactive qualifying project (IQP) that examined the technologies used to create transgenic animals and its impact on society. Developing an Osteoporotic Bone Model Using Canine Specimens WPI, October 2010-December 2010 Induced osteoporosis in canine femurs and tibias using a formic acid and ammonium formate solution. The stiffness and ultimate tensile strength were tested using Instron.
