President’s Message
Greetings,
It is with tremendous excitement and enthusiasm that I enter Richard Bland College and the Petersburg community, and I am deep-ly grateful for the warm welcome that I have received upon returning to my beloved home state of Virginia as RBC’s fourth president. Richard Bland College’s unparalleled learning environment, its close affi liation with William and Mary, and its proud tradition of affordable excellence in higher education, are just a few distinguishing features. What really sets RBC apart, however, is the extraordinary learning community that is created and in-spired by outstanding professors and staff who make student success their top priority. In recognition of services provided to military veterans, RBC was listed as a 2012 Military Friendly campus by GI Jobs and the College was once again voted “Best in the
Tri-Cities for Higher Learning” in the 2012 Progress-Index Reader’s Poll. Richard Bland College invites prospective students and com-munity members to explore the campus and its offerings online at www.rbc.edu. A campus tour may be arranged by calling or e-mailing our Director of Student Affairs, Randy L. Dean, at 804-862-6225 or [email protected]. All of us at Richard Bland College look forward to welcoming new and returning stu-dents to campus to explore, prepare and grow through learning.
Sincerely,
Debbie L. Sydow, Ph.D., PresidentRichard Bland College
