Embracing Rautomead’sunique naturally oxygen-reducing graphite furnacetechnology, a whole range of horizontal, upwards anddownwards vertical castingmachines has been created,with scope to tailor individualmachines to specific end-uses.

Alloys are produced as “semi-finished” bars,sections and flats and may be solid or hollow,according to end-use. Product finishing can include automatic cut-to-length, end-chamfering, bar identification marking,straightening and bundling.

End-uses of continuous cast copper alloysinclude copper, bronze and brass in theplumbing, electrical and gas industries,as well as architectural, automotive, aerospaceand general engineering components.

Proven over many years in production of solid andhollow sections in copper,bronzes and brassesincluding machining andforging brasses, Rautomeadmachines may be fed directlywith heat-weighed batches,with pre-alloyed ingot or with molten metal from a separate melting furnace.
